The United States in Prophecy

“Zion shall be redeemed with judgment,
and her converts with righteousness.”
If we can show and prove from the
Scriptures, as I believe we can, that the
United States of America is “Zion” of Bible
prophecy, we will behold one of the most
fascinating, comforting and encouraging
revelations that our nation and generation
could gaze upon, with the exception of
the glories of personal salvation through
our blessed Lord and Saviour, Jesus the
Christ. In the prophecy of Isaiah the word
“Zion” appears more than forty-five times.
In Isaiah 1:27,28 we find the following
statement:
“Zion shall be redeemed with judgment,
and her converts with righteousness.
And the destruction of the transgressors
and of the sinners shall be together,
and they that forsake the Lord shall be
consumed.”
From this first chapter of Isaiah we
learn that “Zion” is a nation, which has
forsaken the Lord and corrupted itself,
but would in the end of the age be brought
back to God by judgment and fire.
Verse 4 of chapter 1 reads: “Ah sinful
nation, a people laden with iniquity, a
seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters:
they have forsaken the Lord, they
have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto
anger, they are gone away backward.”
A nation that has forsaken the Lord
must of necessity be one of the nations of
Christendom.
“And it shall come to pass in the last
days.”
We learn from Isaiah 2:1-3 that Zion
would be a great and wealthy nation in
the “last days: “The word that Isaiah the
son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and
Jerusalem.
“And it shall come to pass in the last
days, that the mountain of the LORD'S
house shall be established in the top of the
mountains, and shall be exalted above the
hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
“And many people shall go and say,
Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain
of the LORD, to the house of the God of
Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways,
and we will walk in his paths: for out of
Zion shall go forth the law, and the word
of the LORD from Jerusalem.”
Bear in mind that the words “Judah”
and “Jerusalem” as found in Isaiah 2:1
have a symbolic use and meaning as does
the word “Zion.” The time for the complete
and final fulfillment of the second chapter
of Isaiah is very clearly the atomic age in
which we are now living. This is very definitely
established in verses 10 through 22
where we are told men would be forced to
go into the caves of the earth, and seek
shelter in the mountains.
“The daughters of Zion are haughty.”

Zion of Bible Prophecy
by C. O. Stadsklev
Turning to the third chapter of Isaiah
in our study of the word "Zion" as used in
Bible prophecy, we find the following in
verses 16 and 17: “Moreover the LORD
saith, because the daughters of Zion are
haughty, and walk with stretched forth
necks and wanton eyes, walking and
mincing as they go, and making a tinkling
with their feet: Therefore the LORD will
smite with a scab the crown of the head of
the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will
discover their secret parts.”
“The daughters of Zion” undoubtedly
refer to our many states with their state
constitutions, similar to our United
States' Constitution, which are patterned
after the national laws of ancient, literal
Zion where King David lived and reigned.
The symbolical picture and description of
Zion in Isaiah 3 is very similar to that in
Isaiah 1, namely, an unfaithful and disloyal
wife whose conduct is responsible for
our secrets having been discovered and
stolen by Communists.
An indication as to the time when Zion
of Bible prophecy would forsake the Lord
and be as an unfaithful wife is found in
verses 4, 5, and 12,13. These verses also
tell of the judgment and the confusion
that would come upon this great nation.
These timely and significant verses
read as follows: "And I will give children
to be their princes, and babes shall rule
over them. And the people shall be
oppressed, every one by another, and
every one by his neighbor: the child shall
behave himself proudly against the
ancients, and the base against the honourable."
In verses 12 and 13 we read: “As for
my people, children are their oppressors,
and women rule over them. O my people,
they which lead thee cause thee to err,
and destroy the way of thy paths. The
Lord standeth to plead, and standeth to
judge the people.”
No generation in history has spent
more and done more for its youth than the
present; and yet, no generation in our
nation has witnessed more crime by its
youth; and in no previous generation have
children behaved more proudly against
their parents and teachers; and of no previous
generation could it be more truthfully
said that we are ruled over by children,
babes and women. We shall not argue the
right and the wrong involved in this matter.
We merely want to note the time in
human history when Isaiah 3 with its
"daughters of Zion" was to have its complete
and final fulfillment.
“And it shall come to pass, that he that
is left in Zion ... shall be called holy.”
We now come to the fourth chapter of
Isaiah. Verse 1 reads as follows: “And in
that day seven women shall take hold of
one man, saying, We will eat our own
bread, and wear our own apparel: only let
us be called by thy name to take away our
reproach.”
If our national leaders continue to
allow our men to be scattered and slain in
battle all over the earth, as they have
since 1914, we could have a situation in
Anglo-Saxondom where women outnumber
men seven to one. In any event, this
verse indicates that dreadful loss of life
will be necessary in order to bring our
nation — and the other nations of
Christendom, back to the Bible and God's
way of life for both men and nations.
Verse 2 of Isaiah 4 refers very clearly
to our nation, which is spoken of as “the
branch,” or nation, planted by the Lord. In
Genesis 49:22 and in Psalm 80:15 the
Joseph nation, whom we are, is spoken of
2
as “the branch.” There are times in the
Scripture when the branch refers to the
Messiah, as in Isaiah 11:1; but then the
word “branch” is capitalized, which it is
not in Isaiah 4:2 where it refers to a
nation. This second verse also states that
the fruit of the earth would be “excellent”
and “beautiful,” which is certainly true of
the United States of America.
Verse 2 reads: “In that day shall the
branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious,
and the fruit of the earth shall be
excellent and comely for them that are
escaped of Israel.” “Them that are escaped
of Israel,” or Anglo-Saxondom as we are
now called, could properly and correctly
be said to refer to those who live in the
great North American Continent, the land
of refuge, and the land to which millions
desire to escape or immigrate.
Verses 3 and 4 of Isaiah 4 speak of this
nation which is called the “branch,” and
where “the fruit of the earth shall be
excellent,” as being Zion and Jerusalem.
This we believe means the new and symbolic
Zion and Jerusalem which we have
shown was to be a great nation in the last
days.
Again we find that the time for the
final and complete fulfillment of Isaiah's
prophecy, as given in chapter 4, is in the
last days, a time when the Lord will with
a spirit ofjudgment and a spirit of burning
purge and cleanse this great nation
known as Zion. Verses 3 and 4 of Isaiah 4
declare: "And it shall come to pass, that he
that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth
in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even
every one that is written among the living
in Jerusalem: When the Lord shall have
washed away the filth of the daughters of
Zion, and shall have purged the blood of
Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the
spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of
burning.”
There is no question but that portions
of Isaiah's prophecy were partially fulfilled
at the time when Judah was taken
to Babylon, and Bible prophecy would forsake
the Lord and be as an unfaithful wife
is found in verses 4, 5, and 12,13. These
verses also tell of the judgment and the
confusion that would come upon this great
nation.
These timely and significant verses
read as follows: “And I will give children
to be their princes, and babes shall rule
over them. And the people shall be
oppressed, every one by another, and
every one by his neighbor: the child shall
behave himself proudly against the
ancients, and the base against the honourable.”
In verses 12 and 13 we read: “As for
my people, children are their oppressors,
and women rule over them. O my people,
they which lead thee cause thee to err,
and destroy the way of thy paths. The
Lord standeth to plead, and standeth to
judge the people.”
No generation in history has spent
more and done more for its youth than the
present; and yet, no generation in our
nation has witnessed more crime by its
youth; and in no previous generation have
children behaved more proudly against
their parents and teachers; and of no previous
generation could it be more truthfully
said that we are ruled over by children,
babes and women. We shall not argue the
right and the wrong involved in this matter.
We merely want to note the time in
human history when Isaiah 3 with its
‘daughters of Zion” was to have its complete
and final fulfillment.
“And it shall come to pass, that he that
is left in Zion ... shall be called holy.”
3
We now come to the fourth chapter of
Isaiah. Verse 1 reads as follows: “And in
that day seven women shall take hold of
one man, saying, We will eat our own
bread, and wear our own apparel: only let
us be called by thy name to take away our
reproach.”
If our national leaders continue to
allow our men to be scattered and slain in
battle all over the earth, as they have
since 1914, we could have a situation in
Anglo-Saxondom where women outnumber
men seven to one. In any event, this
verse indicates that dreadful loss of life
will be necessary in order to bring our
nation — and the other nations of
Christendom, back to the Bible and God's
way of life for both men and nations.
Verse 2 of Isaiah 4 refers very clearly
to our nation, which is spoken of as "the
branch," or nation, planted by the Lord. In
Genesis 49:22 and in Psalm 80:15 the
Joseph nation, whom we are, is spoken of
as “the branch.” There are times in the
Scripture when the branch refers to the
Messiah, as in Isaiah 11:1; but then the
word "branch" is capitalized, which it is
not in Isaiah 4:2 where it refers to a
nation. This second verse also states that
the fruit of the earth would be "excellent"
and "beautiful," which is certainly true of
the United States of America.
Verse 2 reads: “In that day shall the
branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious,
and the fruit of the earth shall be
excellent and comely for them that are
escaped of Israel.” “Them that are escaped
of Israel,” or Anglo-Saxondom as we are
now called, could properly and correctly
be said to refer to those who live in the
great North American Continent, the land
of refuge, and the land to which millions
desire to escape or immigrate.
Verses 3 and 4 of Isaiah 4 speak of this
nation which is called the “branch,” and
where “the fruit of the earth shall be
excellent,” as being Zion and Jerusalem.
This we believe means the new and symbolic
Zion and Jerusalem, which we have
shown, was to be a great nation in the last
days.
Again we find that the time for the
final and complete fulfillment of Isaiah's
prophecy, as given in chapter 4, is in the
last days, a time when the Lord will with
a spirit ofjudgment and a spirit of burning
purge and cleanse this great nation
known as Zion. Verses 3 and 4 of Isaiah 4
declare: “And it shall come to pass, that he
that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth
in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even
every one that is written among the living
in Jerusalem: When the Lord shall have
washed away the filth of the daughters of
Zion, and shall have purged the blood of
Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the
spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of
burning.”
There is no question but that portions
of Isaiah's prophecy were partially fulfilled
at the time when Judah was taken
to Babylon, and Jerusalem was burned by
the Babylonians; but that was by no
means the complete and final fulfillment
of Isaiah's remarkable prophecy. It is also
true that Isaiah's prophecy concerning the
nations in his day that forsook God has
been repeated in other nations throughout
Church history; but there are large portions
of Isaiah's prophecy, which could
never be fulfilled until the time of the
atomic and hydrogen bombs.
For instance, no nation in the past has
had a complete fulfillment of Isaiah
1:27,28 where we read: “Zion shall be
redeemed with judgment, and her converts
with righteousness. And the destruc-
4
tion of the transgressors and of the sinners
shall be together, and they that forsake
the Lord shall be consumed.” This
remarkable prophecy will have its complete
fulfillment in our nation, which is
even now being prepared for its baptism of
fire. Neither has Isaiah 2:19 had its final
and complete fulfillment at any time in
the past.
It reads: “And they shall go into the holes
of the rocks, and into the caves of the
earth, for fear of the Lord, and for the
glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to
shake terribly the earth.” Since our nation
is the great nation “in the last days,” spoken
of as Zion in Isaiah 2, we must expect
this 19th verse to be fulfilled in our
nation. Anyone who will study the prophecy
of Isaiah, recognizing the fact that the
United States of America is the Zion of
Isaiah's prophecy, will behold a panoramic
view of the future destiny of our blessed
and favored nation.
Those in our midst who are fearful
should constantly remember verse 10 of
Isaiah 3; those in our midst who are arrogant
and defy our Christ should consider
the 11th verse of Isaiah 3. These two verses
declare: “Say ye to the righteous, that it
shall be well with him: for they shall eat
the fruit of their doings. Woe unto the
wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the
reward of his hands shall be given him.”
“O my people, that dwellest in Zion, be
not afraid of the Assyrian.”
We shall now turn to the 10th chapter
of Isaiah in our study of the word “Zion” as
used in Bible prophecy. Let us begin with
verse 20, which reads: “And it shall come
to pass in that day, that the remnant of
Israel, and such as are escaped of the
house of Jacob, shall no nore again stay
upon him that smote them; but shall stay
upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in
truth.”
This verse and its context clearly indicates
that a remnant, a comparatively few
people of Anglo-Saxondom, would in the
present era form a nation in dependence
upon God. This began to be fulfilled when
the Pilgrims and Founding Fathers of our
Nation established the United States of
America. We now have on both our coins
and postage stamps the declaration: “In
God we trust.”
In verse 24 of Isaiah 10, the prophet
speaks to this people as follows:
“Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD of
hosts, O my people, that dwellest in Zion,
be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall
smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his
staff against thee, after the manner of
Egypt.”
In other words, this nation which has
declared its trust in God lives or dwells in
a land called “Zion,” and God speaks of
them as, “O my people” Therefore it must
be a nation of Christendom. The Lord God
tells them “be not afraid of the Assyrian.”
“The Assyrian” is one of the Bible names
for those who have developed, and are
now directing, World Communism.
Verse 24 of Isaiah 10 also states that
the Assyrian would smite the people that
dwell in the land of Zion — which is
America, and that it would be “after the
manner of Egypt.” Therefore we are to
expect that that which Pharaoh and
Egypt tried to do to our Anglo-Saxon forefathers
in the days of Moses will be the
desire and purpose of World Communism
as it works out its evil design against “we
the people” of the United States of
America and Canada.
But we need not be afraid, for in verses
26 and 27 of Isaiah 10 we read: “And
the LORD of hosts shall stir up a scourge
for him according to the slaughter of
5
Midian at the rock of Oreb: and as his rod
was upon the sea, so shall he lift it up
after the manner of Egypt. And it shall
come to pass in that day, that his burden
shall be taken away from off thy shoulder,
and his yoke from off thy neck, and the
yoke shall be destroyed because of the
anointing.” That we might understand the
meaning and the message of the expression,
“according to the slaughter of Midian
at the rock of Oreb,” we must turn back to
the 6th, 7th and 8th chapters of the Book
of Judges. There we read that due to our
forefathers' sin and backsliding, God
allowed the heathen Midianites to afflict
and oppress our forebears.
Finally, they cried to God; God directed
them to His Word, and gave them a civil
and military leader by the name of
Gideon. In dependence upon God, Gideon
and his men challenged and fought the
Midianites. God gave them a great victory
at the rock of Oreb. Concerning the rock of
Oreb we find the following in Judges 7:25:
"And they took two princes of the
Midianites, Oreb and Zeeb; and they slew
Oreb upon the rock of Oreb, and Zeeb they
slew at the winepress of Zeeb, and pursued
Midian, and brought the heads of
Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon on the other side
Jordan.”
The expression, “according to the
slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb,”
and the expression “after the manner of
Egypt,” throw much light on our present
struggle with World Communism, for
according to these expressions the United
States will be used of God to slay the leaders
of World Communism.
Pharaoh sought to enslave our forefathers
in Egypt. When he failed — due to
Divine intervention, Pharaoh and the
Egyptians attempted to conquer and
enslave our progenitors by military might.
And so it is in our day. World
Communism has sought to enslave our
nation by infiltration, but because of
Divine intervention they have failed. Soon
they will seek to subdue our nation by an
all out sneak attack as Pharaoh did, very
likely at night “after the manner of
Egypt.”
But God will intervene “after the manner
of Egypt,” and as Pharaoh's military
attack on ancient Israel resulted in the
downfall of Pharaoh and all his armed
might, so will the military attack of World
Communism upon the North American
promised land of modern Israel result in
the destruction of World Communism and
all its military might.
The 27th verse of Isaiah 10 is so significant,
revealing and comforting that we
must note it carefully: “And it shall come
to pass in that day, that his burden shall
be taken away from off thy shoulder, and
his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke
shall be destroyed be cause of the anointing.”
According to this verse and other related
scriptures, the nation spoken of as
“Zion” would be conscious of a heavy burden
and a grievous yoke, a yoke which
would be destroyed and taken off our neck
and shoulder “because of the anointing.”
The burden and yoke spoken of in
Isaiah 10:27, Isaiah 14:25, and Jeremiah
30:8, is without any doubt the present
burden and yoke of International Finance
which has been saddled upon the United
States of America, and which in turn has
been used by the One Worlders to make
the world safe for Communism. But,
thank God! “the yoke shall be destroyed
because of the anointing.”
6
In my booklet, “A Scriptural Money
System,” I show that the burden and yoke
of the latter day prophecies of Isaiah and
Jeremiah refer to our debt money system.
The word “yoke” is so used throughout
symbolic Scripture. One such convincing
passage is 1 Kings 12:4,14.
The fact that our debt money system is
a burden and a yoke on our necks is so evident
it needs no comment, for it makes us
a bankrupt nation in the midst of superabundance
and compels us to mortgage
our children and grandchildren to the
non-producing Money Changers in order
to exist.
Therefore, at this late date, we are
more interested in how this debt money
system will be taken away and destroyed
than in commenting on its evils. Isaiah
assures us that “the yoke shall be
destroyed because of the anointing.”
The word “anointing” is very revealing
for it means abundance. It is the only time
this particular Hebrew word appears In
the Scriptures. Every other time the word
“anointing” is used, either in a literal or
symbolic sense, it means the quickening,
strengthening and enlightening power of
the Holy Spirit; and while this is implied
in Isaiah 10:27, the word “anointing” as
here used is a different Hebrew word
meaning an abundance of wealth and
riches.
This is an interesting and revealing
fact, for it is actually the great abundance
of goods and services in our nation that is,
at long last, beginning to break the yoke of
International Finance.
The old pagan debt money system,
which is such a dreadful burden and yoke,
is a money system of scarcity that thrives
on distress, want and war. But God has
begun to flood our land with such an
abundance that this overflow of material
riches is wrecking the pagan debt money
system, the yoke that has rested upon the
neck and shoulders of Christendom, and
which has brought upon us untold strife,
distress, sorrow, trouble and wars.
Isaiah prophesies concerning this yoke
of International Finance in Chapter 14,
verses 24 through 26, where we read: “The
LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely
as I have thought, so shall it come to pass;
and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:
That I will break the Assyrian in my land,
and upon my mountains tread him under
foot: then shall his yoke depart from off
them, and his burden depart from off their
shoulders. This is the purpose that is purposed
upon the whole earth: and this is
the hand that is stretched out upon all the
nations.”
According to Isaiah the yoke, our debt
money system, will be broken “in my land”
America is correctly spoken of as “God's
Country.” It is here the Assyrian and his
plan to enslave the earth will be trodden
under foot.
“Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of
Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in
the midst of thee.”
No study of the use and meaning of the
word “Zion” in Bible prophecy would be
complete without the beautiful 12th chapter
of Isaiah's prophecy. This chapter foretells
what we as a nation would say and
realize after the present time of distress
and judgment is over, and after God has
intervened and delivered our nation by
completely demolishing the military
might of World Communism.
Let us read the six verses of Isaiah 12:
“And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD,
I will praise thee: though thou wast angry
7
with me, thine anger is turned away, and
thou comfortedst me. Behold, God is my
salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid:
for the LORD Jehovah is my strength and
my song: he also is become my salvation.
“Therefore with joy shall ye draw
water out of the wells of salvation. And in
that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD,
call upon his name, declare his doings
among the people, make mention that his
name is exalted. Sing unto the LORD; for
he hath done excellent things: this is
known in all the earth. Cry out and shout,
thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the
Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.”
“The inhabitant of Zion” is the inhabitant
of America, God's blessed and favored
land. The deliverance that God will
accomplish for the inhabitants of the
North American Continent will be known
in all the earth, causing nation after
nation to enquire after our Christ and the
Christian way of life.
Our deliverance from World
Communism will be a turning point in
world history. It will usher in the age
when nations shall learn war no more,
and when the glory of the Lord shall cover
the earth “as the waters cover the sea”
(Isaiah 11:9). “The Lord hath founded
Zion, and the poor of his people shall trust
in it.”
Isaiah 14:32 is another passage that
gives us reason to believe America is Zion
of Bible prophecy. It reads: “What shall
one then answer the messengers of the
nation? That the LORD hath founded
Zion, and the poor of his people shall trust
in it.”
From this scripture we learn that the
nation of Zion was to be founded or established
by the Lord, and that the poor of
Christendom would look to Zion; or, as one
rendering reads, “take themselves unto
it.” America was very manifestly founded
by the Lord, and His people by the millions
have taken “themselves unto it,”
especially the poor.
Since every student of Bible prophecy
knows that the 18th chapter of Isaiah is a
prophecy concerning the United States of
America, and because I have expounded
the 18th chapter in my booklet, “The
United States in Bible Prophecy,“ I shall
not here do the same. I merely desire to
call your attention to the fact that the
great nation of Isaiah 18 is called “the
mount Zion” in the last verse, verse 7,
“Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a
stone …... a sure foundation.”
In Isaiah 28:16 we are told that “Zion”
would have as its foundation “a tried
stone, a precious corner stone, a sure
foundation.” In different words, it would
be a nation founded on the Deity of the
Lord Jesus Christ, as our nation has been.
This passage reads: “Therefore thus saith
the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion a
tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure
foundation: he that believeth shall not
make haste.”
It is quite clearly revealed in this 28th
chapter of Isaiah, as well as in other
prophetic scriptures, that it is within our
nation (Zion) where World Communism
and Christ-less Internationalism will
meet its Waterloo. World Communism is
spoken of as “your covenant with death
and your agreement with hell” in verse 18
of Isaiah 28. “It shall even be as when an
hungry man dreameth …... so shall the
multitude be, that fight against mount
Zion.”
“It shall even be as when an hungry
man dreameth, and behold, he eateth; but
8
he awaketh, and his soul is empty; or as
when a thirsty man dreameth, and
behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and
behold, he is faint, and his soul hath
appetite; so shall the multitude of all the
nations be, that fight against mount
Zion.”
According to this 8th verse of Isaiah
29, we learn the leaders of World
Communism will organize many nations
for a gigantic attack upon Zion (America).
Prophetically and historically, we have
now come to the time when the “multitude
of nations” have dreams and visions of
taking to themselves the riches and
wealth of our nation. For that reason and
by their dreams the leaders of World
Communism are stirring the multitude to
come and “fight against mount Zion.” But
their dream will not be realized! When
World Communism moves against North
America with its military might, that will
be the end of its power and influence.
When the Assyrians, Babylonians,
Romans and others had dreams and
visions of capturing and possessing
ancient, literal Zion of Bible history their
dreams became a very real reality, but in
our case “it shall even be as when an hungry
man dreameth, and behold, he eateth,
but he awaketh, and his soul is empty or
as when a thirsty man dreameth, and
behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and
behold, he is faint, and his soul bath
appetite: so shall be the multitude of all
nations that fight against Zion,” or
America.
The Hebrew word used for “multitude”
in Isaiah 29:8 is significant and revealing.
It means, a crowd who makes great commotion
or tumult, and who causes rage,
war, clamor and uproar. Means and methods
of this nature are those employed by
the Communists to cause other nations to
oppose us and to come and fight against
us.
“The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness
hath surprised the hypocrites.”
We shall now consider verses 13
through 17 of the 33rd chapter of Isaiah:
“Hear, ye that are far off, what I have
done; and, ye that are near, acknowledge
my might. The sinners (rebels) in Zion are
afraid; fearfulness bath surprised the
hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell
with the devouring fire? who among us
shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
“He that walketh righteously, and
speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the
gain of oppressions, that shaketh his
hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth
his ears from hearing of blood, and
shutteth his eyes from seeing evil; He
shall dwell on high: his place of defence
shall be the munitions of rocks: bread
shall be given him; his waters shall be
sure. Thine eyes shall see the king in his
beauty: they shall behold the land that is
very far off.”
“The land that is very far off” is also
given as “a far stretching land.” In either
case it refers to the great North American
Continent, which at the time this prophecy
was written was a faraway wilderness
that is now blossoming as a rose.
In verse 13 Isaiah addresses his
prophecy to “ye that are far off,” and
exhorts them to acknowledge God's might
and what He has done. In no land of all
history has God worked as many favors or
mighty deeds as in the North American
wilderness. Much of our present difficulty
is due to the fact we of “the land afar off”
have forsaken our God, and are refusing
to acknowledge our Christ in the manner
and to the degree the Pilgrims and
Founding Fathers acknowledged Christ
and His ways.
9
Isaiah 33, verse 14, is very timely. It
declares that the “sinners in Zion are
afraid” and that “fearfulness hath surprised
the hypocrite.” The words “sinners”
and “hypocrites” in this reference are used
in a civil sense, for the whole prophecy is
addressed to a land or nation called
“Zion.” Sinners and hypocrites mean disloyal
citizens, traitors and spies. As foreseen
and foretold by Isaiah, these sinners
and hypocrites are becoming afraid and
fearful-and well they might, for the
cleansing of our nation is at hand.
“The devouring fire” and the “everlasting
burnings” mentioned in verse 14 refer
to the Spirit which is now moving over the
civil affairs of our nation preparatory to
our baptism of fire and the cleansing of
our nation of all things that offend and
them that do iniquity."
Verse 15 of Isaiah 33 gives the character
requirements of the citizens that will
be allowed to live in Zion, or America,
after it has been purged of all anti-Christ
elements and all who refuse to live according
to the national and moral laws of the
Scriptures.
This 15th verse is almost identical
with the answer given in Psalm 15 where
the question is asked: “Lord, who shall
abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell
in thy holy hill” (chosen nation)? The
exception being that Psalm 15 adds the
following requirement in verse 5: “He that
putteth not out his money to usury, nor
taketh reward against the innocent. He
that doeth these things shall never be
moved.” Take notice of the expression,
“shall never be moved.” It is not a question
of going some place — but rather, who
— will be allowed to remain?
These two scriptures, Isaiah 33:15 and
Psalm 15, do not deal with personal salvation
and the gift of eternal life. They, and
many other similar scriptures, deal with
the character requirements and practices
that will be necessary for individual citizens
to remain in America when we as a
nation, under God, are purged and
cleansed -preparatory to the full manifestation
of the Kingdom of God on earth,
which kingdom is the United States of
America.
“And the ransomed of the LORD shall
return, and come to Zion with songs and
everlasting joy upon their heads....”
The 35th chapter of Isaiah is perhaps
one of the most beautiful chapters in Bible
prophecy. This very comforting chapter,
which many people expect will have its
complete fulfillment in the little land of
Palestine, is, as we shall see, now in the
process of being literally fulfilled in the
vast North American Continent, and that
on a scale a thousand times greater than
could possibly be the case in little
Palestine, a land 150 miles long and 50
miles wide.
When we realize that the United
States of America is “Zion” of Bible
prophecy, the 35th — chapter of Isaiah
opens like a beautiful rose, becomes plain
and makes sense.
Verse 1 states: “The wilderness and
the solitary place shall be glad for them;
and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom
as the rose.”
We have three words in verse 1 that
describe the land that Isaiah had in mind
when he wrote the 35th chapter of Isaiah,
and all three applied to the North
American Continent in Isaiah's time.
The word “wilderness” means undeveloped
grazing land; "the solitary place" has
10
a similar meaning, that of an unoccupied
and uncultivated land; "the desert" that
was to rejoice and blossom as the rose
refers to the sterile, nonproductive land
such as much of our West was until irrigation
made it to literally rejoice and blossom
as a rose.
The "them" in verse 1, who were to
make the wilderness and the solitary
place glad and the desert to rejoice, refers
to our God-fearing and industrious forefathers,
whose faith and works brought the
blessings of God, not only upon themselves,
but upon the land as well.
Verse 2 of Isaiah 35 reads as follows:
"It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice
even with joy and singing: the glory of
Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency
of Carmel and Sharon, they shall
see the glory of the Lord, and the excellency
of our God."
"The glory of Lebanon shall be given
unto it, the excellency of Carmel and
Sharon." In other words, the land that
Isaiah had in mind in chapter 35 would be
a land of vast and beautiful forests of virgin
timber, "for the glory of Lebanon, and
the excellency of Carmel" in the time of
David and Solomon was its trees and
forests.
There is, perhaps, not a single state in
the United States of America that does not
have more beautiful trees than little, barren
Old Palestine. How would the trees of
Palestine compare with the Redwoods of
our West and the vast forests of the
United States and Canada? Certainly no
normal person can stand among the
Redwood monarchs without sensing the
glory and the excellency of our God.
We shall now read verses 3 and 4 of
Isaiah 35: "Strengthen ye the weak hands,
and confirm the feeble knees. Say to them
that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear
not: behold, your God will come with
vengeance, even God with a recompence;
he will come and save you."
Do you know of a land where God has
done more to strengthen the weak hands
and confirm the feeble knees than He has
in the great open spaces of the North
American Continent, be it physical, mental
or spiritual?
Do you know of any land where people
have lived without fear as we have in this
wilderness pasture land which has
become as a vast garden? And, have we as
a people been strong and independent in
our way of life?
Do you know of another land where
God has manifested His vengeance on its
enemies, and saved them in spite of themselves,
as He has the United States of
America? But the end is not yet, for the
greatest vengeance of God in all history
will come when World Communism moves
against the North American Continent
with its full military force.
Verses 5 and 6 of Isaiah 35 read as follows:
"Then the eyes of the blind shall be
opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be
unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap
as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb
sing; for in the wilderness shall waters
break out, and streams in the desert."
The first word in verse 5 is "then". It is
a word which indicates time and refers
back to verse 4 where we are told that God
will come with vengeance and with recompence
to save the great nation of Isaiah
35. The salvation here is not personal salvation;
it is national deliverance from
anti-Christ Internationalism and
Communism.
11
While God has already done much in
America to open the eyes of the blind and
unstop the ears of the deaf, both literally
and figuratively, in matters pertaining to
religion, government, education and
industry, the truly great enlightenment,
revelation and release will come after our
all-out struggle with the anti-Christ
forces of World Communism.
And while God has already done much
in this North American wilderness that
has caused those who were lame and
dumb religiously, politically and economically
to leap and sing, the greatest physical
release mankind has ever known on
earth will come to America when
International Finance and International
Communism combine in their all-out
effort to destroy the New Order of the
Ages, established in this wilderness, for it
is then they themselves are to be completely
and forever destroyed by divine
intervention in behalf of our nation.
Verse 7 of Isaiah 35 states: "And the
parched ground shall become a pool, and
the thirsty land springs of water: in the
habitation of dragons, where each lay,
shall be grass with reeds and rushes."
This verse is similar to verses 1 and 2
and foretells the great productivity and
development that would come to the vast
North American wilderness, brought on
by irrigation and other efforts of men
working under the mercy and favor of
God.
In verse 8 of Isaiah 35 we read, "And
an highway shall be there, and a way, and
it shall be called The way of holiness; the
unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall
be for those: the wayfaring men, though
fools, shall not err therein."
Whether we take the word "highway"
in this eighth verse to mean a literal highway
or a way of life, it applies to America
a thousand times more than to Palestine.
However, the word "highway" in this
eighth verse of Isaiah 35 evidently refers
to a way of life, for it is called "The way of
holiness;" and even fools, silly people, and
those below par would be directed and
protected in this ''way."
The word "holiness" in Isaiah 35:8
means consecrated and dedicated. In
other words, the way of life in the great
wilderness of Isaiah 35 would be consecrated
and dedicated to the Christian concept
of freedom and opportunity for even
the fools and those who are weak. In spite
of all our sin and backsliding as a nation
that still remains our principle and policy.
Verse 9 states: "No lion shall be there, nor
any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it
shall not be found there; but the redeemed
shall walk there."
The word "lion" in symbolic scripture
means a heathen and unscriptural form of
government. In Daniel 7 the pagan
Babylonian government was likened unto
a lion. And so Isaiah 35:9 states that no
pagan form of government will ever be
successfully established in the North
American wilderness.
This very beautiful and comforting
35th chapter of Isaiah closes with the following
verse: "And the ransomed of the
Lord shall return, and come to Zion with
songs and everlasting joy upon their
heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness,
and sorrow and sighing shall flee away."
This, of course, is yet to be fully realized.
The word "redeemed" in verse 9 and
the word "ransomed" in verse 10 will
cause some people to stumble and fail to
understand, just as the word "holiness" in
verse 8 will cause some people to spiritualize
and explain away any literal fulfill-
12
ment of Isaiah 35. The Israel people are
repeatedly spoken of in the Scriptures as
being holy.
Exodus 19:6 states: "And ye shall be
unto me…an holy nation."
Deuteronomy 7:6 states: "For thou art
an holy people unto the Lord thy God: the
Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a special
people unto himself, above all people
that are upon the face of the earth."
Days and vessels are also spoken of as
being holy unto the Lord, meaning they
are chosen by God for some specific service
and blessing. Thus as we interpret
scripture in the light of other scripture we
find that the redeemed of verse 9, the ransomed
of verse 10 of Isaiah 35 refer to the
Israel or Anglo-Saxon people. In Isaiah 35
it refers to those of Anglo- Saxondom who
are so fortunate as to be living in the
United States of America, the Zion of
Bible prophecy.
Three passages will be sufficient to
show that the Anglo-Saxons-formerly
called Israel- are called the redeemed in
the Scriptures.
Isaiah 13:1 states: "But now thus saith
the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and
he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not:
for I have redeemed thee, I have called
thee by thy name; thou art mine."
Isaiah 44:21-22 states: "Remember
these, 0 Jacob and Israel; for thou art my
servant I have formed thee; thou art my
servant: 0 Israel, thou shalt not be forgotten
of me. I have blotted out, as a thick
cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud,
thy sins return unto me; for I have
redeemed thee."
Galatians 4:4-5 states: "But when the
fulness of the time was come, God sent
forth his Son, made of a woman, made
under the law, To redeem them that were
under the law, that we might receive the
adoption of sons."
As you know, the heathen nations of
the world were never under the law. The
law of God was given exclusively to the
Israel people. We must not confuse the
national and racial redemption and deliverance
promised to Israel with personal
salvation which is for whosoever will,
regardless of race or color.
"O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get
thee up into the high mountain."
We shall continue our study of the use
and meaning of "Zion" in Bible prophecy
by reading Isaiah 40:9-11: "O Zion, that
bringest good tidings, get thee up into the
high mountain; O Jerusalem, that
bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice
with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say
unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!
Behold, the Lord God will come with
strong hand, and his arm shall rule for
him: behold, his reward is with him, and
his work before him."
In this passage we learn that Zion is a
high mountain, or a great nation, that
"bringest good tidings," and which is
exhorted, "Be not afraid."
Today the United States of America is
a great nation bringing good tidings, such
as aid and comfort to many other nations;
and yet, as a nation we are afraid of World
Communism.
The words "Judah" and "Jerusalem"
have caused many students of Bible
prophecy to limit Isaiah 40:9 to the little
land of Palestine, just as they have done
with other similar prophecies. But it must
be understood and remembered that as
13
Zion has a symbolic use and meaning in
prophetic scripture, so do the words
"Judah" and "Jerusalem."
The Jerusalem in Isaiah's prophecy is
often the New Jerusalem which John saw,
and wrote about in Revelation 21. We
shall read verses 9 and 10 of this chapter,
and as we do, notice that the New
Jerusalem is spoken of as a "high mountain"-
which means a great nation; and
that this great nation is also spoken of as
the "Lamb's wife." Since Christ is the
Lamb, the Lamb's wife is, of course, one of
the great nations of Christendom to whom
the Christ has shown special love and
favor.
The Church is the body of Christ, and
not the Bride. The Bride is spoken of as a
great nation in The Revelation, the Old
Scriptures and in the Kingdom Parables.
Revelation 21:9-11 states: "And there
came unto me one of the seven angels
which had the seven vials full of the seven
last plagues, and talked with me, saying,
Come hither, I will shew thee the bride,
the Lamb's wife. And he carried me away
in the spirit to a great and high mountain,
and shewed me that great city, the Holy
Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from
God. Having the glory of God: and her
light was like unto a stone most precious,
even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal."
There are those who insist on spiritualizing
both the words "Zion" and
"Jerusalem." But both old Zion and old
Jerusalem were earthly and literal; and in
prophecy they symbolize a literal nation
under the mercy, favor and protection of
God. We have reason to believe that
prophetic Zion is the United States of
America.
The word "Judah" also has a much
broader use and meaning in Bible prophecy
than is generally realized. While there
is a tribe of Judah in both Bible history
and Bible prophecy, there are times in
Bible prophecy when the word "Judah"
means the people of Christendom. The
Apostle Paul so used the word "Jew" in
Romans 2:28,29 where we read,
"For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly;
neither is that circumcision,
which is outward in the flesh: But he is a
Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision
is that of the heart, in the spirit, and
not in the letter; whose praise is not of
men, but of God."
Circumcision, you recall, was an outward
sign of an inner experience that signified
the individual believed in the true
and living God. See Deuteronomy 30:6
and note it has its fulfillment in Anglo-
Saxondom (Christendom).
The time when Zion would be a great
nation bringing good tidings of hope,
cheer and material -aid to other nations is
clearly indicated in verse 10 as being in
the closing days of the present age.
Isaiah 40:10 states: "Behold the Lord
God will come with strong hand and his
arm shall rule for him." In other words,
we are to tell all the people of
Christendom, Behold your God; that is,
Behold Jesus Christ our Hope! He will
rule, and not the men of the Kremlin. And,
we must cease being afraid, for the Lord
has repeatedly promised to deliver our
nation from the plan and purpose of World
Communism.
"I will place salvation in Zion for Israel
my glory."
Two very timely verses of scripture are
found in Isaiah 46:12,13: "Hearken unto
me, ye stouthearted, that are far from
14
righteousness: I bring near my righteousness;
it shall not be far off, and my salvation
shall not tarry: and I will place salvation
in Zion for Israel my glory." Here God
warns the stouthearted that are far from
righteousness that He would place salvation,
or deliverance, in Zion for Israel.
The Anglo-Saxons are Israel. America
is Zion. The Communists are "stouthearted"
and "are far from righteousness."
Paraphrasing this passage, God will use
America to deliver the nations of
Christendom from One World
Communism.
It is important in a study of Bible
prophecy that we understand and remember
that as history repeats itself, so
prophecy has repeated fulfillments. While
there may be many applications to some
prophecies, there is only one correct interpretation.
Such prophecy as Isaiah
46:12,13 may have had many minor and
partial fulfillments, but it will also have
its complete and final fulfillment.
"Zion said, The Lord hath forsaken me,
and my Lord hath forgotten”
We shall now consider a very beautiful
scripture recorded in Isaiah 49:8-17. As
we study these verses keep our blessed
and favored land in mind, for it is clearly
our nation Isaiah foresaw as he wrote.
Isaiah 49:8: "Thus saith the Lord, In
an acceptable time have I heard thee, and
in a day of salvation have I helped thee
and I will preserve thee, and give thee for
a covenant of the people, to establish the
earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages."
The" acceptable time" and the "
day of salvation" is, according to the
Apostle Paul, the present age of grace.
This whole 49th chapter of Isaiah is
addressed to Israel, or the Anglo-Saxons,
whom God said He would hear, help, preserve
and use to establish the earth, and
to cause to inherit the desolate or undeveloped
heritages of the earth. And note, this
was to take place in the present age.
Would you agree that the Anglo-
Saxons who came to this vast North
American heritage were heard, helped
and preserved; and that they are now
being used of God to establish the earth,
which means to strengthen, help and
uphold others? And, would you agree we
have inherited the desolate heritages of
the New World?
With this in mind let us read verse 9:
"That thou mayest say to the prisoners,
Go forth; to them that are in darkness,
Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the
ways, and their pastures shall be in all
high places."
Would you agree that the United
States of America has been used of God to
"say to the prisoners (slaves), Go forth, to
them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves?"
Paraphrasing this statement,
have we said, Express yourselves, you
common folk and ordinary citizens; take
part in civil affairs? And would you agree
that we as a people, as well as our herds
and flocks, have been well provided for as
indicated in verse 9 of Isaiah 49?
Verse 10 enlarges on this abundance
that was to come to our nation, and intimates
our nation would be located in a
temperate zone rather than in the frigid
cold or torrid heat. Verse 10 reads:
"They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither
shall the heat nor sun smite them; for
he that hath mercy on them shall lead
them, even by the springs of water shall
he guide them."
15
Verse 12 of Isaiah 49 states that the
inhabitants of the Zion of Bible prophecy
would come from far, and from the North
and West. And how true that has been!
Our nation is far from the Old World in
every way, and the people who pioneered
and developed this vast American pastureland
actually came from the
Northwest.
Now we come to a most beautiful and
comforting passage, Isaiah 49:13-17.
Verse 13 states: "Sing, O heavens; and be
joyful, O earth; and break forth into
singing, O mountains; for the Lord hath
comforted his people, and will have mercy
upon his afflicted."
Do you know of any land or nation in
all human history where God has done
half as much to comfort His people and
have mercy upon His afflicted as He has
in the North American wilderness? And
that in a few days, as far as nations are
concerned, and we are just in the beginning!
Verse 14 brings us up to our time, the
present time of sorrow, trouble and distress
of nations when many are despairing
for the future well being of our Nation
and all Christendom. As we read verses 14
through 17 remember America is Zion of
Bible prophecy:
"But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken
me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.
Can a woman forget her sucking child,
that she should not have compassion on
the son of her womb? Yea, they may forget,
yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have
graven thee upon the palms of my hands;
thy walls are continually before me. Thy
children shall make haste; thy destroyers
and they that made thee waste shall go
forth of thee."
Thank God! He will never forget and
never fail to have compassion on America
and the New Order of the Ages which He
brought to birth in this promised land, the
Zion of Bible prophecy.
Note carefully the statement in verse
17: "Thy children shall make haste." As a
people we do things in haste. The Old
World is slow in our estimation, and vice
versa.The declaration, "Thy destroyers
and they that make waste of thee" refers
to the Socialists (Reds) and their dupes,
stooges and sympathizers who will shortly
be jailed, deported or executed.
"For the Lord shall comfort Zion...."
We now come to the 51st chapter of
Isaiah in our study of the word "Zion" as
found in Bible prophecy. In this chapter
Isaiah was inspired of God to address a
people and a nation living in a wilderness
of wasteland or undeveloped land area.
These people and this nation is called
"Zion." God also calls them "my people"
and "O my nation."
These people are also told to, "Look
unto Abraham your father, and unto
Sarah that bare you." In other words, the
people and nation are of Anglo-Saxon
stock, for Abraham was the father of the
Anglo-Saxon race; and, of course, they
must be one of the nations of
Christendom, for in Romans 4:11
Abraham is spoken of as the father of all
them that believe in Christ.
Verse 3 of Isaiah 51 reads as follows:
"For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will
comfort all her waste places; and he will
make her wilderness like Eden, and her
desert like the garden of the LORD; joy
and gladness shall be found therein,
thanksgiving, and the voice of melody."
16
In Isaiah's time America was a wilderness
with vast waste or undeveloped
areas, with unproductive deserts. But, as
Isaiah prophesied, God is bringing comfort
or development to all her waste
places. He is making this vast wilderness
like Eden and her deserts of the West like
a garden. And the end is not yet!
Speaking further of this blessed and
favored Zion-nation, which was a vast
undeveloped area in Isaiah's time, Isaiah
was inspired to write these words in verse
4 of Isaiah 51: "Hearken unto me, my people;
and give ear unto me, O my nation:
for a law shall proceed from me, and I will
make my judgment to rest for a light of
the people."
"A law" and "my judgment" are civil
terms and refer to the fact that this nation
called "Zion" in Bible prophecy, established
in a faraway wilderness or undeveloped
and uncultivated land, would set up
a form of government that would be "for a
light (example) of the people."
As you know, our Constitutional
Republic was patterned after, and based
upon, the national laws of the Bible; and
our United States' Constitution has been
a light and an example to many other
nations, and no one can deny that as a law
it proceeded from God.
In verses 7 and 8 the Lord speaks of
our nation as "the people in whose heart is
my law." This statement must be considered
and understood in its context. The
context does not deal with personal salvation;
it deals with a nation whose way of
life is based on the Christian principle of
human government, which is a rule by
law and not a rule by man or men as has
been the order in the Old World.
It is because of the New Order of the
Ages, with its new concept of "live and let
live" that has been established in this
New World, that we as a nation have been
willing to give away billions of dollars
worth of wealth. Never in all history has a
strong, victorious and conquering nation
adopted a policy of helping both friend
and foe as has the United States of
America.
There are those who fear that our new
and strange policy of giving to other
nations will be our destruction.
Undoubtedly, the One-World Conspirators
in our midst hope to use our God-given
desire to help other people in their effort
to bring our nation down and finally
under their one-world rule; but God has
other plans, therefore the more we give
the more we have.
With this present world situation in
mind we shall read verses 7 and 8 of
Isaiah 51:
"Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness,
the people in whose heart is my
law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither
be ye afraid of their revilings. For the
moth shall eat them up like a garment,
and the worm shall eat them like wool:
but my righteousness (or my way of life)
shall be for ever, and my salvation from
generation to generation."
While no nation in history has manifested
the laws and principles of the Bible
by giving of its wealth, strength and
"know how" to other nations as has the
United States of America, yet, no strong
nation ln all human history has been
reproached and reviled before the world
as has the United States of America at the
UNO and other international conferences.
But, our God declares:
"Fear ye not the reproach of men, neither
be ye afraid of their revilings. For the
17
moth shall eat them up like a garment,
and the worm shall eat them like wool:
but my righteousness shall be for ever,
and my salvation from generation to generation."
"My righteousness" refers to God's way
of life which was planted in the North
American wilderness by the God-fearing
Pilgrims. This New Order of the Ages will
not be destroyed; it will be pruned, purged
and cleansed, for the time of the full manifestation
of the Kingdom of God on earth
is at hand.
The next two verses of Isaiah 51, verses
9 and 10, contain a prayer for our
nation, asking God to intervene in our
behalf as He did in ancient times for our
forefathers. Verse 11 tells of the great
singing, joy and gladness that will come to
America after God has brought His judgment
upon the anti-Christ leaders of One-
World Communism.
These three verses read as follows:
As a nation and as a people we are
being reproached and reviled by the One-
Worlders and the Communists throughout
the earth. Even to hear some would-be
Americans speak you would think the
United States of America is to blame for
all the ills and evils throughout the world.
"Awake, awake, put on strength, O
arm of the LORD; awake, as in the
ancient days, in the generations of old. Art
thou not it that hath cut Rahab, and
wounded the dragon? Art thou not it
which hath dried the sea, the waters of
the great deep; that hath made the depths
of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass
over.
"Therefore the redeemed of the LORD
shall return, and come with singing unto
Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon
their head: they shall obtain gladness and
joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee
away."
In verses 12 and 13 Isaiah was
inspired to exhort us, the people of the
United States of America and the Zion of
Bible prophecy, to find comfort, hope and
strength in our God and His holy Word,
and to stop being continually afraid of the
fury of World Communism and its oppression.
God declares in verses 12 and 13: "I,
even I, am he that comforteth you: who
art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of
a man that shall die, and of the son of man
which shall be made as grass: and forgettest
the LORD thy maker, that hath
stretched forth the heavens, and laid the
foundations of the earth; and hast feared
continually every day because of the fury
of the oppressor, as if he were ready to
destroy? and where is the fury of the
oppressor?"
As a nation we "continually every day"
fear the fury and oppression of World
Communism.
The fact that the people and nation of
Isaiah 51 is the Zion of Bible prophecy is
brought forth in verse it; where we read,
"and say unto Zion, Thou art my people."
In other words, the Zion of Bible prophecy
must be a nation which officially recognizes
the Christ and both the Old and
New Scriptures; for no other people could
be spoken of as God's people in latter day
prophecy.
In verse 17 of chapter 51 the Prophet
Isaiah again addresses this people and
nation in the then faraway wilderness (or
open pasture lands, meaning the North
American Continent) and calls them, "O
18
Jerusalem." The word "Jerusalem" as
used here means much more than the single
ancient city in little Old Palestine. As
stated before, the use and meaning in
prophetic scripture of the word
"Jerusalem" is very similar to the word
"Zion", meaning the great nation of
Christendom and the New Order of the
Ages established here in the vast North
American wilderness.
The word "Jerusalem" in symbolic language
means the way of life based upon
the Word of the true and living God and
His Son, Jesus the Christ, who presented
Himself as King to ancient, literal
Jerusalem. The word "Jerusalem" is so
used in Revelation 21:10. Remember,
John said the New Jerusalem was a great
and high mountain, meaning a strong and
exalted nation.
John did not mean he saw a literal city
like Old Jerusalem descending out of
heaven from God. The whole book of The
Revelation is written in signs and symbols.
When John wrote of horses, beasts
and women in The Revelation he did not
mean literal horses, beasts and women.
These symbolic terms are clearly defined
in the Scripture.
And so with the expression, "the New
(or holy) Jerusalem." It simply means a
way of life dedicated to the principles and
the precepts of the Scripture, as our
nation and government has been dedicated.
With this definition of symbolic
Jerusalem in mind, we shall continue our
exposition of Isaiah 51 by reading verses
17 through 20:
"Awake, awake, stand up, O
Jerusalem, which hast drunk at the hand
of the LORD the cup of his fury; thou hast
drunken the dregs of the cup of trembling,
and wrung them out. There is none to -
guide her among all the sons whom she
hath brought forth; neither is there any
that taketh her by the hand of all the sons
that she hath brought up. These two
things are come unto thee; who shall be
sorry for thee? desolation, and destruc
tion, and the famine, and the sword: by
whom shall I comfort thee: Thy sons have
fainted, they lie at the head of all the
streets, as a wild bull in a net: they are
full of the fury of the LORD, the rebuke of
thy God."
One of the strange and tragic facts in
these strange and tragic days is the fact
that our native sons-good, loyal and
strong Americans, seem unable to lead us
as a people and nation out of the political
fires and moral morass we are in. Not that
God has not provided such leadership, but
we the people, like so many dumb sheep,
have followed false shepherds who are
causing us to drink the cup of trembling,
cowardice, fear and appeasement until we
are drunk with the evil "cup of trembling."
But we need not despair, for the three last
verses of Isaiah 51 tell us:
"Therefore hear now this, thou afflicted,
and drunken, but not with wine: Thus
saith thy LORD, and thy God that pleadeth
the cause of his people, Behold, I have
taken out of thine hand the cup of trembling,
even the dregs of the cup of my fury
thou shalt no more drink it again: But I
will put it into the hand of them that
afflict thee; which have said to thy soul,
Bow down, that we may go over: and thou
hast laid thy body as the ground, and as
the street, to them that went over."
Was there ever a strong nation that
manifested as much fear, trembling and
appeasement as has the United States of
America? Was there ever a strong nation
19
that has been walked all over as has _ the
United States of America by the One-
World Conspirators? But, thank God!
their days are numbered and an awakening
is coming to Zion, Our America.
"For Zion's sake will I not hold my
peace.”
The Holy Scripture is inspired of God,
therefore it is ever-living and applies to all
generations. The Bible is not only a book
of the past and the future in its history
and prophecy, the Bible is always a book of
the present.
For instance, the national blessings
and curses of Deuteronomy 28 have been
experienced by other nations of
Christendom in their national history as
well as in our nation. Thus, as we have
stated before, Bible prophecies, especially
those pertaining to national blessings and
curses, have many repeated and partial
fulfillments, but they also have their particular
final fulfillment. The Bible is so
written that it has light and truth for
every generation, nationally and personally.
Let us now read verses 1-4 of Isaiah
62: "For Zion's sake will I not hold my
peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not
rest, until the righteousness thereof go
forth as brightness, and the salvation
thereof as a lamp that burneth. And the
Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and
all kings thy glory (strength and wealth):
and thou shalt be called by a new name,
which the mouth of the LORD shall name.
Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the
hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in
the hand of thy God. Thou shalt no more
be termed Forsaken: neither shall thy
land any more be termed Desolate: but
thou shall be called Hephzibah, and thy
land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in
thee, and thy land shall be married."
Here we find the words "Zion" and
"Jerusalem"' used as names of a land that
in Isaiah's time was termed "Forsaken"
and "Desolate", a land that was to be
called "Beulah", meaning master or to
have dominion. This land was also to be
called "Hephzibah" which means a desired
and pleasant land.
Is there a land today, which at one
time was termed Forsaken and Desolate,
but today is a master among nations, with
great dominion or authority? And is it a
pleasant and desired land when compared
with other nations?
Yes, there is such a land; namely, the
United States of America.
According to the three first verses of
Isaiah 62, the land called "Zion" and
"Jerusalem" in Bible prophecy was to be
"as a lamp that burneth" to the Gentiles;
that is, it was to bring light and the knowhow
of a better life to other nations, and
that land was to be called by a new name
and therefore not recognized as being an
Israel nation. This land was also to have
great glory; that is, national strength,
wealth and advantages that would attract
the interest of all other rulers and national
leaders.
In verse 3 of Isaiah 62 we learn that
this unique land and nation was to "be a
crown of glory in the hand of the LORD
and a royal diadem in the hand of thy
God." "Crown" and "diadem" are civil
terms and pertain to civil administration.
Therefore we understand verse 3 to mean
that God would use this blessed and
favored land to bring about the administration
of God's civil laws. This has
already begun, for our Constitution and
our jurisprudence is based upon, and patterned
after, the civil law of the
Scriptures.
20
Verse 5 of Isaiah 62 reads: "For as a
young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy
sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom
rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God
rejoice over thee."
In other words, as a young man shows
special interest, love and affection by gifts
for the lady he loves, so God would bestow
His national gifts, favors and blessings
upon this land and nation called "Zion"
and "Jerusalem" in Bible prophecy. For,
"as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the
bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee."
Would you agree that God has smiled
upon our land, and would you agree He
has bestowed upon our nation unheard of
favors, blessings and gifts? Of course, you
will.
We now come to verses 6 and 7 of lsaiah
62 where we read: "I have set watchmen
upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which
shall never hold their peace day nor night:
ye that make mention of the LORD, keep
not silence, And give him no rest, till he
establish, and till he make Jerusalem a
praise in the earth."
These verses indicate that considerable
time would be involved in bringing
this nation forth to a place of strength and
leadership in the earth, and that God
would provide the necessary watchmen to
bring His plan and purpose to fruition. No
nation in all history has had such great
watchmen and statesmen as has the
United States of America for its brief period
in history.
In verses 8 and 9 of Isaiah 62 we have
these words: "The LORD hath sworn by
his right hand, and by the arm of his
strength, Surely I will no more give thy
corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the
sons of the stranger shall not drink thy
wine, for the which thou hast labored: But
they that have gathered it shall eat it, and
praise the LORD; and they that have
brought it together shall drink it in the
courts ofmy holiness."
These two verses foretold that this
great nation of Isaiah 62 called "Zion,"
which would be greatly blessed and
favored by God, and used of Him to bring
light to other nations, would be robbed
and taken advantage of by its ''enemies
and the sons of the stranger."
This is very interesting and significant,
for no nation has been robbed and
taken advantage of by both friend and foe,
as has the United States of America in
recent years.
In fact, it is what has been stolen from
the United States of America that has
made Communism a world power. But
this unscriptural policy will in the end be
used of God to force this nation to turn to
God with all its heart.
For World Communism, which we in
our ignorance and defiance of God's Word
have made strong, will turn against us
with all the fury of satanic hate, and we
will be made to realize and acknowledge
that Jesus Christ is our only Hope and
Help, nationally as well as personally.
Verse 10 of Isaiah 62 is a call, a commission
and a command to our nation. It
states: "Go through, go through the gates;
prepare ye the way of the people; cast up,
cast up the highway; gather out the
stones; lift up a standard for the people."
"Go through, go through" means to go
on; pass over; enter. "The gates" mean
openings into something new and different.
Already God has begun to bring our
nation into a new and different way of life.
In truth, our nation from its beginning
has been something new and different.
21
"Prepare ye the way of the people"
means God would use the great and
favored nation of Isaiah's prophecy to lead
the people of other nations into a higher
and better way of life after we have had
our baptism of fire, and have been
cleansed of all them that rebel against
God's civil laws.
"Cast up, cast up, the highway; gather
out the stones; lift up a standard for the
people" means we must set our own house
(nation) in order, and prepare for the
defence of enslaved and threatened peoples;
which, incidentally, we are spending
billions to do.
The two last verses of Isaiah 62 contain
a message of hope, comfort and
encouragement to the people of our
blessed and favored land:
"Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed
unto the end of the world, Say ye to the
daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation
cometh; behold, his reward is with him,
and his work before him. And they shall
call them, The holy people (or Christian
people), The redeemed of the LORD: and
thou shalt be called, Sought out, A City
not forsaken."
Nations, like individuals, when they
repent must be given hope, comfort and
encouragement. While it may seem to
many that our nation is a long way from
repentance, God can and will bring us a
long way in a short time when that time
comes.
The fact that our nation will repent
and turn to God is clearly foretold in Bible
prophecy. Already there are indications
that this prodigal nation is beginning to
awaken, and will soon come to its senses.
Jeremiah
"I will take you one of a city, and two of
a family, and I will bring you to Zion."
If the United States of America is not
the great nation called "Zion" in Bible
prophecy t\hen another nation much
greater than the United States must arise
before the present age of sorrow and strife
can close. We have found it repeatedly
stated in the prophecy of Isaiah that a
nation, greatly blessed of God, would arise
in a vast wilderness to be a light and a
help to other nations "in the last days."
Up to this point we have considered
the prophecies of Isaiah. Now we shall
give thought to the prophecies relative to
Zion found in the prophecy of Jeremiah.
We begin our study at the 12th verse of
Jeremiah chapter 3. There Jeremiah is
given the following instruction and message;
and please note, Jeremiah was to go
NORTH and speak to Israel:
Jeremiah 3:12-14 states: "Go, and proclaim
these words toward the north, and
say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith
the LORD; and I will not cause mine
anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful,
saith the LORD, and I will not keep anger
for ever. Only acknowledge thine iniquity,
that thou hast transgressed against the
LORD thy God, and hast scattered thy
ways to the strangers under every green
tree, and ye have not obeyed my voice,
saith the LORD. Turn, 0 backsliding children,
saith the LORD; for I am married
unto you: and I will take you one of a city,
and two of a family, and I will bring you to
Zion."
In these three beautiful verses we find
a brief history of the Anglo-Saxon people,
formerly known as the Ten Tribes of
Israel, who in Jeremiah's time were north
of Palestine beginning their trek north-
22
ward and westward into Europe. The
Judah nation, as you perhaps know, was
still in Palestine and was later taken east
into the Babylonian captivity.
Tenderly and lovingly God asked backsliding
Israel to return to Him and His
ways as He spoke to them through the
Prophet Jeremiah. While our forefathers
did not at this time heed the message of
God through the prophet, neither they nor
their backsliding could hinder the fulfillment
of the prophecy found in verse 11
where God stated: "I will take you one of a
city and two of a family, and I will bring
you to Zion."
As we consider the history of tentribed
Israel from the time of Jeremiah,
we find that they did not repent and turn
to God as they continued their northward
trek into Europe. Consequently, the
prophesied seven times of punishment of
2,520 years fell upon them.
Ten-tribed Israel began its sinful Baal
worship in 929 B.C. Historically, this is
recorded in I Kings 12:28,29 where we
read:
"Whereupon the king took counsel, and
made two calves of gold, and said unto
them, It is too much for you to go up to
Jerusalem: behold thy gods, O Israel,
which brought thee up out of the land of
Egypt. And he set the one in Bethel, and
the other put he in Dan."
The Great Reformation in Europe
came 2,520 years later. And 2,520 years
from the beginning of Israel's captivity in
711 B.C. brings us to 1780 the war for
America's independence and the adoption
of the United States' Constitution.
The founding of our nation was in fulfillment
of Jeremiah's prophecy in chapter
3, verse 14 which states: "I will take you
(Anglo-Saxondom) one of a city, and two of
a family, and 1 will bring you to Zion."
No nation in history has been settled
and developed by "one of a city, and two of
a family" in the manner our America was
populated. From all of the nations of
Anglo-Saxondom they came: young men
and women driven by a strange and
strong desire to set foot on American soil.
We discover a remarkable statement of
what God would do for those of Israel
(Anglo-Saxondom) who would migrate to
Zion (America) in the 15th verse of
Jeremiah 3.
God declares: "And I will give you pastors
according to mine heart, which shall
feed you with knowledge and understanding."
"Knowledge and understanding" was
to be given to these people living in Zion
after the seven times of punishment had
expired. Would anyone deny that God
gave our Founding Fathers knowledge
and understanding? Would anyone consider
our vast systems of production, distribution
and communication and then deny
that God has given us as a nation knowledge
and understanding?
The word "pastors" in Jeremiah 3:15 is
defined in the Hebrew as those who rule
and lead and it is not necessarily limited
to those who feed people spiritual knowledge
and understanding; even though in
that realm also we as a nation have been
especially blessed.
Jeremiah continued the prophecy concerning
the Zion nation of Bible prophecy
in verse 16. There he wrote: "And it shall
come to pass, when ye be multiplied and
increased in the land, in those days, saith
23
the LORD, they shall say no more, The
ark of the covenant of the LORD; neither
shall it come to mind: neither shall they
remember it: neither shall they visit it;
neither shall that be done any more."
In other words, the people in this Zion
nation were to multiply and increase. One
of the most phenomenal increases of population
In history has taken place in the
United States of America.
The fact that "the Ark of the Covenant"
would no more be visited or remembered
indicates that this Zion nation would
come into being after the ceremonial ordinances
of the Old Scripture had been fulfilled
and put away by the death and resurrection
of the Christ.
Jeremiah 3:19 gives another clear reference
to our nation. It states: "But I said,
How shall I put thee among the children,
and give thee a pleasant land, a goodly
heritage of the hosts of nations? And I
said, Thou shalt call me, My father: and
shalt not turn away from me."
Here God promises to give this nation
called "Zion" a pleasant land, a goodly
heritage of the hosts of nations. The
Moffatt translation calls this heritage "the
fairest heritage of any nation," and the
Goodspeed reads, "the goodliest heritage
of all the nations!"
Can anyone deny we have been given a
pleasant land, the fairest and goodliest of
heritages?
In the 17th verse of Jeremiah 3 we are
confronted with the question as to
whether the word "Jerusalem" means
ancient, literal Jerusalem or the New and
symbolic Jerusalem which John saw as a
great nation in the end time.
While it is very evident from some
scripture passages that Jerusalem is
sometimes used in prophecy as a name of
our blessed nation, there are also indications
in Scripture that after the present
age has passed away literal Jerusalem
will again be exalted, used and honored by
the Lord.
The fact that the word "Jerusalem" is
used to symbolize a way of life as well as
the name of a literal city is evident from
Zechariah 12:6. There we read:". . .
Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her
own place, even in Jerusalem."
We shall now consider the 17th verse
of Jeremiah 3 and seek to determine
which Jerusalem is meant: "At that time
they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the
LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered
unto it, to the name of the LORD, to
Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any
more after the imagination of their evil
heart."
The nations of the earth are already
looking to the United States of America,
symbolic Jerusalem: and the United
States of America is much more in a position
to lead and teach other nations in the
way of Kingdom principles than ancient,
literal Jerusalem.
One should always bear in mind that,
while we are commanded to study and
teach Bible prophecy, even at best we see
only in part; and there are some prophecies
that time alone can interpret.
"Therefore fear thou not, O my servant
Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed,
O Israel; for, lo, I will save thee
from afar."
The 30th chapter of Jeremiah is very
clearly a latter day prophecy foretelling
our time, and the place our nation would
occupy.
24
In verse 2, Jeremiah was told,".. .
Write thee all the records that I have spoken
unto thee in a book." Verse 3 indicates
that this 30th chapter was to have a far
distant future fulfillment. In verse 3 God
states: "For, lo, the days come, saith the
LORD, that I will bring again the captivity
of my people Israel and Judah, saith
the LORD: and I will cause them to return
to the land that I gave to their fathers,
and they shall possess it."
Many Bible teachers insist that the
expression, "the land that I gave to their
fathers," refers exclusively to the little
land of Palestine, but such can hardly be
the case.
Early in the first book of the Bible, God
promised that the descendants of
Abraham, namely, the Anglo-Saxons, now
the nations of Christendom, would
become many nations and a great multitude
of people. It stands to reason that a
people that were to become many nations,
and also build the greatest single nation
in history, would have to have more territory
than little Palestine.
We shall cite only two of many scriptures
which declare that Israel was to
have much more space and territory than
Palestine.
In Deuteronomy 32:8-14 we find a
scripture, which states that Israel, or the
Anglo-Saxons, would have all the territory
their number required. This scripture
states that the Israel people would be led
and directed by God into a land of great
wealth, riches and resources.
"When the Most High divided to the
nations their inheritance, when he separated
the sons of Adam, he set the bounds
of the people according to the number of
the children of Israel, For the LORD'S
portion is His people; Jacob is the lot of his
inheritance. He found him in a desert
land, and in the waste howling wilderness;
he led him about, he instructed him,
he kept him as the apple of his eye.
"As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth
over her young, spreadeth abroad
her wings, taketh them, beareth them on
her wings: So the LORD alone did lead
him, and there was no strange god with
him. He made him ride on the high places
of the earth, that he might eat the
increase of the fields; and he made him to
suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of
the flinty rock; Butter of kine, and milk of
sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the
breed of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of
kidneys of wheat; and thou didst drink the
pure blood of the grape."
Another scripture which very definitely
states that the Israel people, now
known as Anglo-Saxons, would possess
and occupy territory other than Palestine
is II Samuel 7:10. As we read this verse
remember that Israel was in Palestine at
the time this promise was given. It states:
"Moreover I will appoint a place for my
people Israel, and will plant them, that
they may dwell in a place of their own,
and move no more; neither shall the children
of wickedness afflict then any more,
as beforetime."
Going back to our text, verse 3 of
Jeremiah 30, we find the statement, "I
will bring again the captivity of my people
Israel and Judah and cause them to
return to the land that I gave to their
fathers."
Without any doubt, the Anglo-Saxons
will eventually be forced by circumstances
to take over the jurisdiction of Palestine,
as well as that of many other nations,
thereby fulfilling God's promises to the
25
fathers and the prophecies of the
prophets; but the bringing back of the captivity
of Israel and Judah must not be limited
to Palestine.
The Moffatt Bible translates the statement
"I will bring the captivity of my people
Israel and Judah," as found in the
King James translation, to "I will restore
the fortunes of my people Israel and
Judah." God has actually begun to restore
the fortunes of the Anglo-Saxon people
without bringing them all back to
Palestine.
He has already restored the Anglo-
Saxons to a place of world leadership
among the nations; He has again made
them a very wealthy people, and greatly
increased their number.
Verses 4 through 8 of Jeremiah 30 very
clearly deal with the present time of great
distress, trouble and danger for the Anglo-
Saxon people.
We shall read verse 7: "Alas, for that
day is great, so that none is like it: it is
even the time of Jacob's trouble, but he
shall be saved out of it."
In the time of this distress, which
Jeremiah foresaw, everything-including
trouble, would be on a great scale like it is
in America; but Jacob, or the Anglo-
Saxons, were to be saved out of trouble.
They were not to be destroyed, but rather,
— cleansed and delivered.
Verse 8 of Jeremiah 30 names one
great evil and troublemaker from which
the Anglo-Saxons are to be saved and
delivered. This verse declares:
"For it shall come to pass in that day,
saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break
his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst
thy bonds, and strangers shall no more
serve themselves of him."
The "yoke" is in the singular number,
and as we have shown before, it refers to
our present unscriptural debt money system,
which is the root cause of all sorts of
troubles and evils, national and international.
It enables non-producing strangers
to "serve themselves" of us through usury,
mortgage, and by alternating inflation
and deflation of our currency.
Let us now consider Jeremiah 10:30
where we read: "Therefore fear thou not,
O my servant Jacob, saith The LORD; neither
be dismayed, O Israel; for, lo, I will
save thee from afar, and thy seed from the
land of their captivity; and Jacob shall
return, and shall be in rest, and none
shall make him afraid."
Here we find that Israel's restoration
was to take place in a land "afar" It was to
be a land where Israel, or Anglo-
Saxondom, would return to the civil
administration of God. In this land these
Anglo-Saxons were to find rest, be quiet,
"and none shall make him afraid."
Jeremiah lived in Palestine when he
prophesied concerning Israel that "I (God)
will save thee from afar." America is "afar"
from Palestine. Our Founding Fathers
returned to, and restored, much of God's
civil administration.
The Lord speaks to our nation in its
present affliction and world-wide involvement
and trouble as recorded in verses 15
and 16 of Jeremiah 30:
"Why criest thou for thine affliction?
thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude
of thine iniquity: because thy sins were
increased, I have done these things unto
thee. Therefore all they that devour thee
26
shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries,
every one of them, shall go into
captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be
a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I
give for a prey."
No great and strong nation in history
has been devoured, spoiled and made prey
of as has the United States of America.
While our own iniquity has brought all of
this upon us, God has promised to deliver
America.
In spite of our aid and good will to
other nations, nation after nation has
allowed itself to compromise with the
Reds, and to treat us as outcasts. India is
an outstanding example. And while all
nations seem to be quite happy to receive
our gifts, yet, they seem to have little concern
as to whether or not our way of life,
called Zion in Bible prophecy, is preserved
and protected against the satanic plot of
the Communists.
But God has promised our nation, "I
will restore health unto thee, and I will
heal thee of thy wounds."
Verse 19 of Jeremiah 30 gives several
characteristics of this Zion-nation, which
are clearly seen, in our nation. Verse 19
states: "And out of them shall proceed
thanksgiving and the voice of them that
make merry: and I will multiply them,
and they shall not be few; I will glorify
them, and they shall not be small."
To my knowledge we are the only
nation that has a legal holiday devoted to
thanks-giving. And we have in a very
short time become a multitude of people
and, as prophesied, "they shall not be
small." The expression, "I will also glorify
them," means God would show forth His
blessing and favor upon this nation called
Zion.
Verse 20 is equally significant, and is
singularly true of the United States of
America. It states: "Their children also
shall be as aforetime, and their congregation
shall be established before me, and I
will punish all that oppress them."
The Pilgrims and many other early
settlers of this North American wilderness
came here to establish congregations
where they would be free to worship God
according to the Scripture. And no oppressor
has been able to destroy this precious
freedom in America, and none ever will.
Verse 21 gives a further unique characteristic
of our nation. It states: "And their
nobles shall be of themselves, and their
governor shall proceed from the midst of
them; and I will cause him to draw near,
and he shall approach unto me: for who is
this that engaged his heart to approach
unto me? saith the LORD."
"Their nobles shall be of themselves"
means that this Zion-nation was to be governed
by elected representatives from
among the people, and not by a government
by kings, monarchs or dynasties
such as those in the Old World.
The expression, "and he shall approach
unto me, could refer to our first President
who was one with his countrymen, and
who earnestly engaged his heart to
approach unto God as he prayed at Valley
Forge.
The next verse is very brief, but it positively
establishes the fact that this Zionnation
was officially a Christian nation. It
states: "And ye shall be my people, and I
will be your God."
The fact that God has singularly
blessed America no intelligent person will
deny. The God of the Bible could speak of
27
no nation as "my people" who did not officially
recognize the Christ.
The two last verses of Jeremiah 30
very clearly refer to the present time with
its world-wide confusion, turmoil and
upheaval. These verses read as follows:
"Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD
goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind:
it shall fall with pain upon the head
of the wicked. The fierce anger of the
LORD shall not return, until he have done
it, and until he have performed the
intents of his heart: in the latter days ye
shall consider it."
Here we are in the "latter days" considering
Jeremiah's prophecy. The "whirlwind"
spoken of in verse 3 refers to the
present unprecedented upheaval, turmoil
and confusion among men and nations.
Certainly the last 40 years have witnessed
"the fierce anger of the Lord," and
the end is not yet.
God's purpose with all the trouble and
distress of nations, according to Jeremiah
and all the other prophets, is to subdue
and destroy the wicked in preparation for
the time when God's will will be done on
earth as it is in heaven.
The Apostle Peter in II Peter, chapter
3, prophesied concerning these last days.
In verses 6 and 7 he wrote: "Whereby the
world that then was, being overflowed
with water, perished: but the heavens and
the earth, which are now, by the same
word are kept in store, reserved unto fire
against the day of judgment and perdition
of ungodly men."
In verse 13 Peter wrote: "Nevertheless
we, according to his promise, look for a
new heavens and a new earth, wherein
dwelleth righteousness."
"New heavens and a new earth" means
a renewed or cleansed heavens and a
renewed and cleansed earth. This cleansing
of the earth in preparation for the full
manifestation of the Kingdom of God on
earth does not take place in an instant,
neither does it occur in all the earth
simultaneously.
All prophetic Scripture and the
Kingdom Parables that deal with the
cleansing of the earth in preparation for
the Millennial Reign of the Christ teach
that God will first cleanse the great Zionnation,
and then progressively all other
nations.
Isaiah 61:11 is one such prophecy, and
states, "For as the earth bringeth forth
her bud, and as the garden causeth the
things that are sown in it to spring forth;
so the Lord God will cause righteousness
and praise to spring forth before all
nations."
God will take one nation that has been
cleansed and use it to show all the nations
the way of righteousness and praise, and
that one nation, we believe, is the United
States of America.
And certainly, when compared with
other nations, The United States of
America has been a place of rest and
quiet, and no nation has frightened them
into submission.
It seems apparent that verses 11
through 15 deal with the present time of
distress, anxiety and danger which "we
the people" of the United States of
America are passing through, including
the dark days immediately ahead.
We shall read verse 11: "All thy lovers
have forgotten thee: they seek thee not;
for I have wounded thee with the wound
28
of an enemy, with the chastisement of a
cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity;
because thy sins were in-creased."
The Moffatt Bible translates the first
part of verse 11 as follows; "All your allies
have forgotten you, they care nothing for
you."
Already we are discovering that our
lovers, our so-called allies, are forgetting
us, and are seeking to sell us on the
impossible and dangerous idea of co-existence
with the leaders of World
Communism. Co-existence with the people
of Russia is one thing, but co-existence
with the worldwide communistic conspirators
is something altogether different.
"Therefore they shall come and sing in
the height of Zion”
As we read verses 10 through 11 of
Jeremiah keep in mind the question, Is
this prophecy now in the process of being
fulfilled in the North American wilderness,
or is it in little Palestine where the
great and blessed Zion-nation is being
established in these last days?
"Hear the word of the LORD, O ye
nations, and declare it in the isles afar off,
and say, He that scattered Israel will
gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd
doth his flock. For the LORD hath
redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from
the hand of him that was stronger than
he. Therefore they shall come and sing in
the height of Zion, and shall flow together
to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat,
and for wine, and for oil, and the young of
the flock and of the herd; and their soul
(or lives) shall be as a watered garden;
and they shall not sorrow any more at all.
''Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance,
both young men and old together: for I
will turn their mourning into joy, and will
comfort them, and make them rejoice from
their sorrow. And I will satiate the soul of
the priests with fatness, and my people
shall be satisfied with my goodness, saith
the LORD."
Let us now analyze this beautiful and
comforting prophecy. Note that Jeremiah
says,
"Hear the word of the Lord, O ye
nations, and declare it in the isles (or
coast lands) afar off." That which
Jeremiah was about to foretell was to be
of interest and value to nations, and it
was to be declared in the isles and coast
lands afar off from Palestine, where
Jeremiah lived and prophesied.
The first statement Jeremiah makes in
this prophecy is, "He that scattered Israel
will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd
doth his flock."
Israel, or the Anglo-Saxons as they are
now called, were in the British Isles and
the coast lands of Europe when God began
the stir among them, leading and shepherding
them to the place of their regathering
in the North American wilderness.
And as Jeremiah implied, this regathering
and shepherding of the Isaac-sons, or
Saxons, from the Isles of Britain,
Scandinavia and the coast lands of
Europe has had great meaning and blessing
to "O ye nations."
In no time and in no nation has the
shepherd-hand of God been more manifest
since the time of Jeremiah than in the
regathering of the Anglo-Saxons in this
North American wilderness. Begin with
the sailing and the landing of the
Pilgrims, and then consider our nation up
to the present time, and you will understand
what Jeremiah meant when he
wrote, "He that scattered Israel will gath-
29
er him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth
his flock."
It is utterly unscriptural to speak of
any people who reject Jesus Christ as
being shepherded by God. To do that God
would have to deny Himself and repudiate
His Word, both the Old and the New
Scriptures.
In verse 11 Jeremiah prophesied God
would ransom Jacob (the Anglo-Saxons)
from him that was stronger than he."
And so He did. Between 741 and 721
B.C. the Assyrians were strong enough to
carry tentribed Israel and much of Judah
into the Assyrian captivity. In II Kings,
17:6 we find the following:
"In the ninth year of Hoshea the king
of Assyria took Samaria, and carried
Israel away into Assyria, and placed them
in Halah and in Habor by the river Gozan,
and in the cities of the Medes."
But these Israel people were ransomed
from the Assyrian, and instead of remaining
as their captives and slaves, they
formed themselves into bands, worked
their way through the Caucasus
Mountains' pass, and escaped into
Europe. These Israel people took advantage
of Assyria's wars with other powers
of that day to make good their migration
into Europe.
Verse 12 is unmistakably a prophetic
description of our blessed and favored
land. We shall read it again: "Therefore
they shall come and sing in the height of
Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness
of the LORD, for wheat, and for wine,
and for oil, and for the young of the flock
and of the herd: and their soul shall be as
a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow
any more at all."
The expression, "and they shall not
sorrow any more at all," does not mean
that as individuals we would not have sorrow.
It means that as a nation and as a
land we would not sorrow as the nations
of the Old World have known sorrow.
Jeremiah's statement, "they shall
come and sing in the height of Zion," indicates
at least three things: The fact the
people sing indicates freedom and opportunity,
and this needs no comment, for all
the earth recognizes our land as a land of
freedom and opportunity.
"ln the height of Zion" indicates the
land and nation of Israel's regathering
would be a high, or great, and strong
nation. "Zion" also indicates its form of
government would be scriptural. Note,
that it is its form of government, and this
must not be confused with its various
administrations. The statement, "and
shall flow together," would imply that as
these Israel people came to this land of
their restoration, they would be divided,
as we know they were in thirteen colonies
and thirteen states, but they flowed
together and became one nation.
The words ''wheat,'' ''oil,'' ''flock,"
''herd," and "as a watered garden," all
prophesy of the great wealth and prosperity
that was to come to this North
American wilderness under the blessing
of God and the labor of those who have
had the good fortune of living in America.
Verses 13 and 14 of Jeremiah 31 should
need little comment, for they continue the
same line of thought as we found in verse
12; namely, that this New Order of the
Ages, established here in this wilderness,
would offer a much higher and better way
of life for "the virgin," the "young men,"
and the "old." Verse 14 prophesies that the
clergy and all the people would fare much
better in this new land.
30
Nowhere in Bible prophecy are we told
that this Zion-nation of the last days
would be a perfect or righteous nation. On
the other hand, we find it repeatedly stated
that the great and favored nation
called "Zion" in Bible prophecy would, at
the time of the second coming of the
Christ, be full of corruption and wickedness,
and in desperate need of cleansing.
Not only is this repeatedly stated in
prophecy, as we have shown; it is also the
theme of a number of the Lord's parables,
such as the parable of the tares and the
parable of the good and bad fish in
Matthew 13.
It is also well to remember that there
was much wickedness and corruption
among God's earthly kingdom people
throughout the Old Scripture times, even
during the administration of such men as
Moses and David. It is because of the
wickedness and corruption in our midst
that we as a nation must have our baptism
of fire and pass through our crucifixion
experience. We are already being
betrayed and denied by our so-called
friends, therefore our crucifixion and resurrection
must be near at hand.
The Psalms
"For the LORD bath chosen Zion; he
bath desired it for his habitation."
It would be strange indeed if the
Psalms, so full of prophecy, had no statement
relative to the greatest nation in all
history, a nation founded on Scriptural
principles.
Undoubtedly, one reason why many
have failed to see the United States of
America in the Psalms is because they
have assumed that the word "Zion"
always refers to something in Palestine.
The first reference we read is from
Psalm 132. Verses 13 and 14 state: "For
the LORD hath chosen Zion; he bath
desired it for his habitation. This is my
rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have
desired it." Here we learn Zion is a place
where the Lord would manifest His presence,
blessing and favor.
Verses 15 and 16 state specifically
what these blessings would be: "I will
abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy
her poor with bread. I will also clothe
her priests with salvation: and her saints
shall shout aloud for joy."
There was to be an abundance of provision
and plenty of bread in this Zionnation.
According to verse 16, both the
clergy and the people were to realize they
lived in a blessed and favored land.
Verse 17 is interesting and significant.
It states: "There will I make the horn of
David to bud: 1 have ordained a lamp for
mine anointed."
In this Zion-nation there was to be a
bud and a lamp. A "bud" is a small beginning
of something that will later come into
full bloom and fruitage. The "horn of
David" which was to bud in this land
could only mean that David's form of
administration would bud and have its
full bloom, or manifestation, in this Zionnation.
"A lamp" is a light that shows the way
and dispels darkness.
Before we consider verse 18, let us ask
ourselves, "Is there a land today where
God has in a very marked manner manifested
His presence, blessing and favor?
And, does that land have an abundance of
provision? and do the people have plenty
of bread? Are all the people, including the
31
priests (the clergy), aware of the fact that
they live in a desirable land?" The answer
is self-evident.
Even apprehended spies and traitors
are so aware of the advantages of living in
America that they prefer being in jail in
the United States rather than having
freedom in the U. S. S. R.
No person at all familiar with the reign
and administration of King David will fail
to see that our Constitutional Republic is
a "bud" from the horn, or rule, of King
David. Furthermore, no person familiar
with modern history will deny that our
form of government, based on the civil and
moral laws of the Bible, as was David's
administration, has been a lamp and a
light to many men and nations.
The fact that this prophecy in Psalm
132:13-18 was to come to pass in the present
age, and before the Millennial reign of
the Christ, is evident from verse 18 which
speaks of the enemies of this Zion-nation.
During the Kingdom reign of the Christ,
which follows the present age, there will
be no enemy to be clothed with shame.
Verse 18 of Psalm 132 reads as follows:
"His enemies will I clothe with shame: but
upon himself shall his crown flourish."
The "enemies" which God will clothe
with shame are our own spies and traitors,
and the world-wide communistic and
anti-Christ conspiracy which has as its
main objective the destruction of our form
of government and our way of life.
The "crown" which is to flourish and
spread throughout the earth is our form of
government, which is based upon the
laws, statutes, judgments and commandments
of God.
"Praise the LORD, 0 Jerusalem; praise
thy God, 0 Zion."
We shall now turn to Psalm 147 and
read verses 12 through 15: "Praise the
LORD, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O
Zion."
The words "Jerusalem" and "Zion," as
we have repeatedly shown when used as
symbolic names in Bible prophecy, are
used as the name of a great nation in the
"last days." Remember, John saw a New
Jerusalem in a great and high mountain,
meaning a great and strong nation.
"Jerusalem" of Revelation 21:10 is a symbolic
name signifying a way of life based
upon the Word of God.
Verses 13, 14, and 15 of Psalm 147
state why this nation called "Zion" and the
"New Jerusalem" should praise the Lord.
They read as follows: "For he hath
strengthened the bars of thy gates; he
hath blessed thy children within thee. He
maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth
thee with the finest of the wheat. He
sendeth forth his commandment upon
earth: his word runneth very swiftly."
Is it not significant that although the
United States of America is one of the
youngest nations among the great
nations, it is from America that God is
actually sending out His Word very swiftly
by radio throughout the earth? Why are
not the great Christian radio broadcasts,
which give forth the Word of God, emanating
from India, China, Russia, Britain,
France, Spain or Germany? Because they
are not Zion.
Will anyone question or deny that God
has strengthened the bars of our gates, or
made the United States of America a
strong nation, and that our children are
blessed by merely being born in America?
32
Will anyone dispute the fact that we have
had peace and tranquility within our borders
surpassing that of any nation of the
Old World? And certainly we all agree
that God has filled our land with the
finest of wheat!
"Thou shalt arise, and have mercy
upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea,
the set time, is come."
We find the following concerning the
nation called "Zion" in Bible prophecy in
Psalm 102:13: "Thou shalt arise, and have
mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour
her, yea, the set time, is come." Here we
are told what is so often stated in prophetic
scripture, that God would show great
mercy and favor upon the nation called
"Zion" in Bible prophecy.
Verse 14 of Psalm 102 states: "For thy
servants take pleasure in her stones, and
favour the dust thereof." This verse indicates
that "Zion" of Bible prophecy would
be founded upon the stones, that is, the
basic principles of David's rule in ancient,
literal Zion.
Verse 15 gives the time in human history
when this favored nation would arise,
and God's long range purpose in showing
such great mercy and favor to this one
particular nation, namely, the United
States of America. Inverse 15 we read, "So
the heathen shall fear the name of the
LORD, and all the kings of the earth thy
glory."
"When the LORD shall build up Zion,
he shall appear in his glory."
As we have seen in other similar
prophecies relative to our nation, we find
it stated here that God desires to use the
North American wilderness in these last
days to teach by demonstration all
nations, including the heathen nations,
that God's national and civil set up is far
superior to that devised by mere men.
Verse 16 of Psalm 102 informs us that
the building up of the Zion-nation of Bible
prophecy would be a sign that the appearance
of our Lord and Savior was near at
hand. It tells us that, "When the LORD
shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his
glory."
Turning to Psalm 87 we shall read
verses 1 and 2: "His foundation is in the
holy mountains. The LORD loveth the
gates of Zion more than all the dwellings
of Jacob." Is it not quite evident that the
LORD loves the United States of America
in that He has blessed and favored us
beyond any of the other Anglo- Saxon
nations?
"His foundation is in the holy mountains"
would seem to mean that God had a
hand in the founding of this nation of
many states, and that on this foundation
God would continue to build.
The following beautiful verse is the 3rd
verse of Psalm 87: "Glorious things are
spoken of thee, O city of God." Indeed, glorious
things are spoken of our nation in
Bible prophecy. The word "city" in verse 3
is used to signify a way of life, as it often
is in prophetic scripture.
The whole 87th Psalm deals with
nations and the various ways of life of the
nations of earth.
In verse 4 we read, "I will make mention
of Rahab (Egypt) and Babylon to
them that know me: behold Philistia, and
Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born
there."
Verse 5 speaks of Zion and declares:
"And of Zion it shall be said, This and that
33
man was born in her: and the highest
himself shall establish her." In this verse
we learn that the Highest Himself would
establish this Zion-nation. To establish
means to erect; render sure; prosper; fashion.
Is it not evident that God did erect
our nation, and is it not evident He has
preserved and prospered us? Therefore
cannot we trust Him to fashion our
nation? The expression "this man was
born in her" indicates that there would be
great advantages in being born in
America rather than in the places mentioned
in verse 4.
Verse 6 of Psalm 87 brings forth the
thought that a great cleansing is in the
mind of God for our nation. It states: "The
LORD shall count, when he writteth up
the people, that this man was born there."
"Oh that the salvation of Israel were come
out of Zion!"
When God bringeth back the captivity
of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and
Israel shall be glad."
Verse 7 of Psalm 11 is identical in
meaning with Psalm 53:6. Both verses are
prayers for the salvation or deliverance of
Israel (Anglo-Saxondom) that was to come
out of Zion.
While great rejoicing and gladness has
come to the Anglo-Saxons due to the
restoration that God has established in
the North American wilderness, it is
apparent from Prophetic Scripture that
God has ordained to use Zion (America) to
deliver the nations of Anglo-Saxondom, or
Christendom, from World Communism
which is its greatest threat and its worst
enemy.
Millions of people in both Europe and
Asia have cried, "Oh that the salvation of
Israel were come out of Zion," or, Oh that
America would intervene and deliver us
from the Kremlin. Remember Finland,
Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, East
Germany, Nationalist China, Korea and
others!
We must ever keep in mind the often
repeated statement found in both the
Prophetic Scriptures and the Kingdom
Parables, that the Zion-nation, which we
have every reason to believe is our nation,
must and will have a tremendous cleansing
as the present age closes.
If we lose sight of this fact we shall be
greatly confused and bewildered in the
days immediately ahead, and we will be
unable to bring light, comfort and hope to
our fellowmen.
As we continue our study of passages
in the Psalms that refer to the Zionnation,
which we believe is the United
States of America, we shall now turn to
Psalm 53:6 where we read: "Oh that the
salvation of Israel were come out of Zion!
Another interpretation we could give
to, "Oh that the salvation of Israel were
come out of Zion," would be that Israel's
national deliverance lies in her willingness
to honor God's national laws, and
administer them, which is symbolized by
the word "Zion."
"Beautiful for situation, the joy of the
whole earth, is mount Zion."
Psalm 48 is a very beautiful Psalm. It
gives a prophetic preview of the great renaissance
that will come to our land, and
the blessing our land will be to the other
nations and peoples of the earth after we
have had our fire baptism and have been
cleansed of all anti-Christ forces.
34
We shall read from Psalm 48, and comment
briefly as we read. Verse 1. "Great is
the LORD, and greatly to be praised in
the city of our God, in the mountain of his
holiness." "ln the mountain of his holiness"
means in the nation He has chosen
and dedicated unto Himself.
Verse 2. "Beautiful for situation, the
joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on
the sides of the north, the city of the great
King." Already the United States of
America is "beautiful for situation," and
already it has brought joy and comfort to
millions. But how much more this will be
true after our land and nation has become
truly Christian and Scriptural!
Verse 3. "God is known in her palaces
for a refuge." Palaces are places of civil
administration, and this verse states
what is repeatedly declared in Bible
prophecy, that even the civil authorities of
our nation will be compelled to turn
wholeheartedly to the Lord before our
present struggle with World Communism
is over.
As we read verses 4 through 6, note
how rulers of other nations would come to
our shores and marvel; note also what will
happen to those who are our enemies and
would destroy our nation:
"For, lo, the kings were assembled,
they passed by together. They saw it, and
so they marvelled; they were troubled,
and hasted away. Fear took hold upon
them there, and pain, as of a woman in
travail."
Verses 7 through 8 foretell of God's
intervention in our behalf.
Verses 9 and 10 read as follows: "We
have thought of thy loving kindness, O
God, in the midst of thy temple. According
to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto
the ends of the earth: thy right hand is
full of righteousness."
In verse 11 we read: "Let mount Zion
rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad,
because of thy judgments." "The daughters
of Judah," as we have shown before,
is a term used in prophecy to designate
the people and nation that worship the
one true God, and Jesus the Christ, the
Son of God.
"The daughters of Judah" must not be
confused with the tribe of Judah or the
word "Jew."
Verse 11 calls upon our nation, and all
the nations of Christendom, to rejoice and
be glad "because of thy judgments," that
is, God's judgments upon the rulers and
nations of heathendom that are now plotting
our destruction.
Verses 12, 13, and 11 of Psalm 48 make
it plain that Zion was to be a great, strong,
and beautiful nation, and that God would
be our God for ever and ever.
"Walk about Zion, and go round about
her: tell the towers thereof. Mark ye well
her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that
ye may tell it to the generation following.
For this God is our God for ever and ever:
he will be our guide even unto death."
"The LORD hear thee in the day of
trouble."
In the 20th Psalm, King David foresaw
Jacob, the Anglo-Saxons as they are now
called, in great trouble and danger. David
made a rather strange prayer for the
Anglo-Saxon people living in this particular
period of trouble and danger.
Verses 1 and 2 of Psalm 20 read as follows:
"The LORD hear thee in the day of
35
trouble; the name of the God of Jacob
defend thee; Send thee of the Anglo-Saxon
nations of Christendom in help from the
sanctuary, and strengthen thee out
Europe would today be under the hammer
and of Zion."sickle standard.
All the inspired writers who have written
concerning our day have foretold great
trouble and distress for the nations of
Christendom in the end time, the time in
which we are now living.
Jeremiah wrote in chapter 30, verse 7,
concerning our time: "Alas! for that day is
great, so that none is like it: it is even the
time of Jacob's trouble, but he shall be
saved out of it."
Daniel, in chapter 12, verse 1, wrote:
"And at that time shall Michael stand up,
the great prince which standeth for the
children of thy people: and there shall be
a time of trouble, such as never was since
there was a nation even to that same
time: and at that time thy people shall be
delivered, every one that shall be found
written in the book."
Jesus our Lord and Saviour said, as
recorded in Luke 21: 25, that "There shall
be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and
in the stars; and upon the earth distress of
nations, with perplexity; the sea and the
waves roaring."
Is it not significant, if not strange, that
as David prays for Jacob (Anglo-
Saxondom) in their present trouble, distress
and danger, he adds "strengthen
thee out of Zion?" The word "strengthen"
is rendered support in the margin of the
King James' Bible.
We are passing through a time of
unprecedented trouble, distress and danger
for Jacob, Anglo-Saxondom. In this
time of trouble for Britain, France,
Germany and all the other nations, Zion-
America has been a source of strength and
support. In fact, if it had not been for the
strength and support of Zion-America, all
While the entire 20th Psalm has lessons
and applications for our time, we should
note especially the three last verses, verses
7, 8, and 9 of Psalm 20, which remind
us of the fact that we as a nation shall be
compelled to turn to and trust in God.
They read as follows:
"Some trust in chariots, and some in
horses; but we will remember the name of
the LORD our God. They are brought
down and fallen: but we are risen, and
stand upright. Save, LORD: let the king
hear us when we call."
"Save, LORD," will be our nation-wide
prayer, for our deliverance from the power
and plot of World Communism will
involve making Christ the Lord our
KING.
"That I may shew forth all thy praise
in the gates of the daughter of Zion..."
In Psalm 9 David prays that God
would spare his life that he might show
forth, or declare, and prophesy concerning
the daughter of Zion.
Since ancient, literal Zion was the
place where King David lived and reigned,
"the daughter of Zion" must be a nation
whose civil administration is based on the
same Divine laws and principles that
David's administration was based upon.
Note as we read from Psalm 9 that
"this daughter of Zion" would come into
being and become a source of praise and
deliverance at the time when God would
bring judgment upon the heathen, and
cause all nations to honor Him.
36
We begin reading at verse 13 of Psalm
9: "Have mercy upon me, 0 LORD; consider
my trouble which I suffer of them that
hate me, thou that liftest me up from the
gates of death."
In verse 14, David states why he prays
to be spared: "That I may shew forth all
thy praise in the gates of the daughter of
Zion: I will rejoice in thy salvation."
Some might say that David was merely
referring to his own time, but that such
was not the case becomes evident when
we continue reading the balance of Psalm
9-which we shall do, noting that David
had in mind some future time when the
heathen and all nations that forget God
would vanish from off the face of the
earth.
Verses 15 through 20 of Psalm 9 read
as follows:
"The heathen are sunk down in the pit
that they made: in the net which they hid
is their own foot taken. The LORD is
known by the judgment which he executeth:
the wicked is snared in the work of
his own hands. Higgaion. Selah. The
wicked shall be turned into hell, and all
the nations that forget God.
"For the needy shall not alway be forgotten:
the expectation of the poor shall
not perish for ever. Arise, O LORD; let not
man prevail: let the heathen be judged in
thy sight. Put them in fear, O LORD: that
the nations may know themselves to be
but men. Selah."
"The expectation of the poor" has been
greatly enhanced in America-Zion of Bible
prophecy.
Just as the Zion of David's day was not
perfect, so our nation, the Zion of prophecy,
is not perfect; but like Zion of old, it
will be preserved and used of God to usher
in the New Order of the Ages throughout
the earth.
"Yet I have set my reign upon my holy
hill of Zion."
The tremendous upheaval, turmoil
and raging in heathendom today are signs
that the heathen religions and God defying
rulers have come to-the end of their
allotted time.
This reminds us of Psalm 2 where we
find the following in verses 1 and 2: "Why
do the heathen rage, and the people imagine
a vain thing? The kings of the earth
set themselves, and the rulers take counsel
together, against the LORD, and
against his anointed.
Many Bible students have taught that
the "anointed" in verse 2, of Psalm 2,
refers to the Christ, but there are several
indications that such is not the case. The
word "anointed" in Psalm 2:2 is not capitalized,
and in verse 3 the "anointed" is
referred to as being many. It speaks of
"their bands" and "their cords."
Therefore, the "anointed" against
whom the heathen rage and imagine a
vain thing, and the kings and rulers of the
earth take counsel against, are a people.
This attack is "against the LORD and
against his anointed."
Bible students who see only the personal
and spiritual message of the Bible
will imagine that the "anointed" in Psalm
2:2 against whom the heathen rage and
plot is the Church, the body of Christ. But
the Church has never had bands and
cords that restricted the heathen and held
them in check. The word "bands" is
defined as meaning chastisement, a halter
or restraint.
37
The word "cords" has a similar meaning.
Therefore the Lord's "anointed" must
be a people upon whom the Lord has
poured His Spirit in revival fires, who
have had many and great spiritual
revivals.
In view of this we ask the question,
What people have chastised, restricted,
and held heathen forces in check? The
answer is, the Anglo-Saxons of recent history,
especially the United States of
America and Great Britain.
Verses 4, 5 and 6 relate God's reaction
and attitude toward the raging of the heathen,
and the counsel of World
Communism, which plot the destruction
of Western civilization:
"He that sitteth in the heavens shall
laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.
Then shall he speak unto them in his
wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
Yet have I set my king upon my holy
hill of Zion."
The word "king" in verse 6, which is
not capitalized, could be rendered reign,
making verse 6 read: "Yet I have set my
reign upon my Holy Hill of Zion."
Zion, as we have repeatedly shown,
was to be a great nation springing forth in
a vast wilderness in the "last days," which
nation we are compelled to believe is the
United States of America.
Notice that God had already set up
this "Zion" before the time the heathen
began their present unprecedented raging.
The UNO is a dramatic and daring
fulfillment of the Psalmist's prophecy that
the rulers of the earth would assemble, or
send, their representatives to take counsel
to destroy our Constitutional Republic.
Instead of making an emergency exit with
a few followers, and abandoning the earth
to some great antichrist, the Lord will
have our enemies in derision, vex them,
and destroy them in His wrath.
Verses 7, 8, and 9 contain a Divine
decree, not of retreat and withdrawal, but
of victory and triumph for Christ and
Christendom right here on earth:
"I will declare the decree: the LORD
hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this
day have I begotten thee. Ask of me, and I
shall give thee the heathen for thine
inheritance, and the uttermost parts of
the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt
break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt
dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel."
Beware of and avoid any religious group
that does not honor the Lord Jesus Christ
as the Son of God, man's one and only
Saviour; for God is now at work blotting
all such heathen religions from off the face
of the earth. The darkened minds of the
leaders of World Communism have never
realized the fact that they are being used
of God to destroy unscriptural and
antichrist religions, and that in turn they
themselves will be swept off the face of the
earth.
In verses 10, 11 and 12 the Psalmist
was inspired to direct his message to the
kings and the rulers of the earth-not to
preachers and evangelists-and he warns
those that have survived God's day of
wrath to be wise, be instructed, and to
honor the Christ or they too will perish.
These three verses read as follows: "Be
wise now therefore, O ye kings: be
instructed, ye judges of the earth. Serve
the LORD with fear, and rejoice with
trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry,
and ye perish from the way, when his
wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are
all they that put their trust in him."
38
The last sentence in this Psalm is very
comforting and reassuring to every
Christian. We may all make it our own,
for it states: "Blessed are all they that put
their trust in Him." meaning THE SON,
our Lord and Saviour, Jesus the Christ.
The Minor Prophets
The lying propaganda that has flooded
the earth in our lifetime under the guise
of being news, and which is largely indirectly
responsible for the condition the
nations of the earth are in, is symbolically
foretold in Revelation 16:13,11:
"And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs
come out of the mouth of the dragon, and
out of the mouth of the beast, and out of
the mouth of the false prophet. For they
are the spirits of devils, working miracles,
which go forth unto the kings of the earth
and of the whole world, to gather them to
the battle of that great day of God
Almighty."
"The dragon" symbolizes Satan and his
monster plan to establish his world rule
with the strength, subtlety, and persistence
of a dragon.
"The beast" in prophetic scripture
always symbolizes unscriptural governments,
such as the secret rulers and leaders
of World Communism.
"The false prophet" symbolizes the
many religions of today who claim to worship
God but deny the claims of Jesus
Christ, His virgin birth, and His blood
atonement.
"Frogs" are quite innocent and helpless
creatures, capable of being greatly inflated.
Frogs have large mouths and swallow
big flies, or lies, very freely, and they are
able to send forth their croaking or
prop,aganda incessantly.
The concentrated smear attacks which
we have witnessed since World War I
being directed against every loyal
American who has dared from his place of
authority and influence to speak out effectively
against internationalism is,
undoubtedly, traceable to the unclean and
lying spirits of Revelation 16:13.
However, we must not fret over evildoers,
for God has allowed all this for the
eventual good of all the earth. There is a
saying to the effect that "those whom God
would destroy He first makes mad."
The lying propaganda which has been
poured out in recent years is actually
accomplishing that which John in
Revelation foretold; it is gathering the
whole world together to the battle of that
Great day of God Almighty.
Micah
"And thou, O tower of the flock, the
stronghold of the daughter of Zion, unto
thee shall it come, even the first dominion;
the kingdom shall come to the daughter of
Jerusalem.
"Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion."
In the 4th chapter of his prophecy, the
Prophet Micah was inspired to write concerning
our time and our nation.
Verse 1 states, "But in the last days it
shall come to pass, that the mountain of
the house of the LORD shall be established
in the top of the mountains, and it
shall be exalted above the hills: and people
shall flow unto it."
Here we are told, as we are in so many
prophetic scriptures, that in the last days
the Kingdom of God, or restored Israel,
would be a great nation; and people would
flow unto it, that is, they would seek to
enter it.
39
With this in mind, and remembering
that we have repeatedly shown that the
United States is the Zion-nation of Bible
prophecy, we shall consider the three last
verses of Micah 4.
"Now also many nations are gathered
against thee, that say, Let her be defiled,
and let our eye look upon Zion. But they
know not the thoughts of the LORD, neither
understand they his counsel: for he
shall gather them as the sheaves into the
floor.
"Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion:
for I will make thine horn iron, and I will
make thy hoofs brass: and thou shalt beat
in pieces many people: and I will consecrate
their gain unto the Lord of the whole
earth."
In verse 13 Micah addresses himself to
the people and nation called "daughter of
Zion," and under the inspiration of God
commands:
"Arise and thresh, 0 daughter of Zion:
for I will make thine horn iron, and I will
make thy hoofs brass: and thou shalt beat
in pieces many people: and I will consecrate
their gain unto the Lord, and their
substance unto the Lord of the whole
earth."
In the light of world conditions and the
recent decision of our leaders to use
nuclear weapons if and when Russia and
her many satellites move against us-as
they will-this verse needs no comment.
These three verses are similar to those
in Revelation 16:13,14, and both passages
refer to the time when the Lord will judge
the nations of earth, and manifest His
earthly rule and authority.
In verse 11 Micah foresaw many
nations gathered against Zion who said:
"Let her be defiled." The word "defiled"
means morally corrupted. It is becoming
increasingly apparent that the leaders of
World Communism are doing everything
in their power to corrupt the people of
these United States, the Zion-nation.
Volumes have been written on this subject.
In the next verse Micah implies that
God has a secret design in allowing this
federation of many nations, under the
leadership of history's worst corrupters, to
come against our nation. He says, "But
they know not the thoughts of the Lord,
neither understand they his counsel: for
he shall gather them as the sheaves into
the floor."
Sheaves that are gathered for the floor
are gathered for a terrible beating and to
be trampled under foot.
God will use their attack on us as a
means of sanctifying us unto the Lord and
His Kingdom laws and principles, and as
a means of threshing away the bondage,
darkness, ignorance, and superstitions of
heathendom.
In giving the Atomic bomb first to the
United States of America, God gave this
Zion-nation the greatest threshing instrument
in all history. We could have spared
ourselves and millions of other lives, if we
had realized our responsibility to God and
the smaller nations of the earth relative to
the spread of One-World Communism.
If we as a nation had known our identity,
and God appointed destiny, and the
national and international laws of the
Bible, we would have threshed the men in
the Kremlin many years ago. We would
have done as Joshua, Samuel, and David
did to the lawless rulers and nations of
their day.
40
In view of our belief that the United
States is Zion of Bible prophecy, Micah 4:8
is a very significant verse. It reads as follows:
"And thou, O tower of the flock, the
strong hold of the daughter of Zion, unto
thee shall it come, even the first dominion;
the kingdom shall come to the daughter of
Jerusalem."
The "daughter of Jerusalem" and the
"daughter of Zion" is a nation founded
upon the principles of ancient, literal
Jerusalem and Zion, and that means it is
a nation such as ours founded upon the
Word of God. Notice carefully that it does
not say "mother Jerusalem," but "daughter."
The most significant statement in this
verse is that the first dominion, the
Kingdom, was to come to this nation
called "daughter of Zion" and "daughter of
Jerusalem" in the end time.
In Matthew 21:43 Jesus predicted:
"Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of
God shall be taken from you, and given to
a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof."
The kingdom of God (not personal salvation)
was to be taken from the Jewish people
and given to "a nation." The Kingdom
of God was not to be given to many
nations or to all the earth simultaneously.
"The first dominion," or first manifestation
of the Kingdom of God on earth, was
to be in Zion.
The nation to whom the Kingdom of
God was to be given is identified by Jesus
in Matthew 25:31-46 as a people who gave
food to the hungry, drink to the thirsty,
clothes to the naked, and who sought to
bring cheer and comfort to those who were
sick and in prison.
The United States of America has done
more to feed the hungry, clothe the naked,
and help those in distress and need than
any nation in history although we are still
in our infancy so far as age is concerned.
Zechariah
"The Redeemer shall come to Zion."
How can we harmonize the 14th chapter
of Zechariah with the teaching that
the United States is Zion, especially verse
4 of Zechariah 14: There we read: "And his
feet shall stand in that day upon the
mount of Olives. which is before
Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of
Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof
toward the east and toward the west, and
there shall be a very great valley; and half
of the mountain shall remove toward the
north, and half of it toward the south."
In the first place, the word "Zion" does
not appear in the 14th chapter of
Zechariah. The 14th chapter of Zechariah
deals with God's judgment upon, and subsequent
deliverance for, literal Palestine
and Jerusalem.
The fact that God gathered all nations
against ancient, literal Jerusalem is a
matter of history; and the fact that, the
heathen forces are now being mustered by
World Communism to come against the
New Jerusalem nation in the North
American wilderness is very apparent.
The statement in verse 4 of Zechariah
14 that, the Lord would stand in that day
upon the Mount of Olives neither proves
nor disproves the location of the Zionnation
of Bible prophecy. To my knowledge
the Mount of Olives is never used as a
symbolic term in prophecy as is Zion and
Jerusalem.
Among other things, the 14th chapter
of Zechariah declares that a great and
41
dreadful earthquake is coming to the little
land of Palestine, causing people to flee as
they fled during the earthquake in the
days of Uzziah.
The fact that the Lord will accomplish
a thorough purge, and establish and
reveal Himself as Lord and King in
ancient, literal Jerusalem of Palestine
does not make Palestine the Zion-nation
of Bible prophecy.
We shall now turn to the 89th chapter
of Isaiah and consider a passage which
some — in light of Zechariah 14:4 — think
establishes the Zion-nation of the end
time in Palestine. Let us read verses 19,
20 and 21 (Both the text and the context
give the time of the fulfillment of this
prophecy as the "last days."): "So shall
they fear the name of the LORD from the
west, and his glory from the rising of the
sun. When the enemy shall come in like a
flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up
a standard against him. And the
Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto
them that turn from transgression in
Jacob, saith the LORD.
"As for me, this is my covenant with
them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is
upon thee, and my words which I have put
in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy
mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed,
nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed,
saith the LORD, from henceforth and for
ever."
Certainly this passage does not
describe Jewry; for here we have the Zion
people very definitely identified as a people
upon whom God's Spirit has moved,
and a people out of whose mouth the Word
of God "shall not depart." Zion is further
identified as a people who have turned
from transgression in Jacob, for they have
turned to God's civil administration.
When the Pilgrims and our Founding
Fathers established the New Order of the
Ages in America, they turned from the
national transgression in Jacob; therefore
God has kept His promise and poured out
His Spirit and blessings upon us.
"And when the enemy shall come in
like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift
up a standard against him (or put him to
flight)." Note, the word "enemy" is singular
in number; it is World Communism.
Note also, it is "the Spirit of the Lord"
that shall lift up a standard against the
enemy, not necessarily the physical manifestation
of the Lord. The evil intent of the
enemy's flood is that it might take out of
our mouths and out of our nation the
Word of God.
The Zion-nation of Isaiah 59:19-2 1
was to have the Spirit of God and the
Word of God in its midst in the end time
when an enemy is to come in as a flood.
Would you say the Spirit of God and the
Word of God is more manifest in Palestine
than in America in these "last days?"
After the Lord has revealed Himself in
Palestine there will be no enemy to "come
in as a flood." The manifestation of the
Lord in Zion is to be a spiritual manifestation
prior to His Millennial reign.
Note, verse 19 of Isaiah 59 declares
that, "the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a
standard." This Spirit rests upon the Zion
nation of verse 20, for verse 21 states, "My
Spirit that is upon thee."
We must distinguish between what the
Lord will do in Palestine and throughout
the earth, after His return to Palestine
and all the earth, from what the Lord
declared through His prophets He by His
Spirit will do in the Zion nation prior to
His return.
42
Joel
"Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and
sound an alarm in my holy mountain."
We shall now turn to the prophecy of
Joel where we find a great nation of the
last days spoken of as "Zion" seven times.
The first time it is so referred to is Joel 2:1
where we read:
"Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and
sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let
all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for
the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh
at hand."
The "day of the Lord"' gives the time
for the fulfillment of Joel's prophecy, and
that, as all students of prophecy agree, is
the present time of world-wide upheaval
and judgment. At this time the nation
called Zion is in danger of attack for Joel
cries, "Sound an alarm in my holy mountain
(chosen or favored nation)."
The fact that Joel spoke of Zion as
being God's holy mountain — or chosen
and favored nation — is clear evidence
that the Zion-nation of prophecy is one of
the nations of Christendom.
Joel's statement, "Let all the inhabitants
of the land tremble," indicates the
nature and the extent of the physical danger
that threatens this Zion-nation. If
space permitted we would see that the
three chapters of Joel's prophecy deal
exclusively with our time and our nation,
but that is unnecessary for world events
and conditions clearly point to the United
States as Zion.
By our unscriptural foreign policy we
have maneuvered ourselves into a position
where we are the only people, or
nation, that the men of the Kremlin could
attack when the time comes for their all
out military effort against the West. By
our appeasement and unscriptural policies
we have made ourselves the prime
target of the Kremlin's military fury.
The fact that Joel said, "Let all the
inhabitants tremble," indicates that Joel
foresaw what we now fear, namely, an air
attack that would endanger the civilian
population as well as our military forces.
In verses 5 and 6 of Joel 2, the Prophet
describes these invaders as coming in
noisy chariots that leap (or fly) over the
mountains. If the word "mountain" is here
used symbolically, we would understand
this prophecy to state that the men of the
Kremlin would direct their dreadful air
armada to bypass other nations and follow
the strategy of first knocking out the
United States of America. Let me repeat,
this is the strategy we have practically
forced upon the demon possessed men of
the Kremlin by our unscriptural policies
in dealing with the leaders of World
Communism.
The second reference in Joel's prophecy
where the word "Zion" is found is Joel
2:15: "Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a
fast, call a solemn assembly.
In the first part of chapter 2, Joel
addresses himself to the civil and military
leaders in Zion and all the inhabitants. In
verse 15 he begins to address the religious
and spiritual leaders. They also are called
to "blow the trumpet in Zion,"and they are
to "sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly."
The fact that this Zion-nation is one
of the nations of Christendom becomes
very evident when we consider verses 16
and 17 of Joel 2 noting the terms used by
Joel as he calls the spiritual leaders to
prepare, as much as possible, their people
for the dangerous onslaught of World
Communism.
43
Joel says: "Gather the people, sanctify
the congregation, assemble the elders . . .
Let the priests, the ministers of the Lord,
weep between the porch and the altar, and
let them say, Spare thy people, O Lord,
and give not thine heritage to reproach,
that the heathen should rule over them:
Wherefore should they say among the people,
Where is their God?"
All the religious terms used by Joel are
Christian terms and words; so here we
have very clearly a nation of Christendom
